For the sixth year in a row, a building designer in Finland has made a very large work of art on a frozen lake. On Lake Pitkajarvi, north of Helsinki, Pasi Widgren(create) a picture of a fox that measures 90 meters from head to tail last year. He said he hoped the artwork would "make people happy" and move them to go for a walk in what he called "(beauty)nature".
( live ) near the city of Lahti, which is about a 90- minute drive northeast of the lake , Widgren has a strong (prefer)for creating artworks on ice with a shovel. Widgren made his first ice picture in winter of 2016. On December 4, 2021, he visited Lake Pitkajarvi. As soon as he arrived, he tested the thickness of the ice to make surewas strong enough to walk and work on. After four hours of working, Widgren was done. He then walked up a hillside about 150 meters above the lake(get) a good look at his large artwork.
Several days later the picture was much(hard) to see because of the snowy weather. But its lack of permanence isn't a problem bothers its creator. " It's also very important to me that making this kind of art doesn't have any influencenature. " Widgren said.
