China National Botanical Garden
It was opened in Beijing on 18 April, 2022. And an eye-catching logo catches a lot of attention.
What are the TWO plants in its LOGO?
The logo has two rare(稀有的)plants—ginkgo(银杏)and dawn redwood. It shows the importance of plant protection. Ginkgo and dawn redwood are protected plants in China. They are known as the oldest living tree species in the world.
Some of the ginkgo trees in the Garden are more than 1, 000 years old. Dawn redwood trees were first found in Hubei Province in 1941 and were brought to Beijing in the early 1970s.
