In the forest, the little rabbit Tommy and his mom live a happy life. Tommy loves his mom. He loves to read and to1 , too.
Christmas's coming. Tommy wants to give his dear mom a present. But2 can he give her? Maybe a dress. His mom looks beautiful in her red dress but it's a bit3 . Maybe a pair of earrings（耳环）. In spring, his mom lost one of her earrings4 from Tommy's dad. They are nice but too expensive for little Tommy.
On the Christmas morning, Tommy is very nervous（紧张的）. Will his mom5 the present? He draws a picture for her. In it, she wears a6 dress and her favourite earrings. Tommy feels7 because he doesn't have any coloured pencil to paint the dress red. So he stays8 the Christmas tree.
Tommy sees her mom smile（微笑） when she opens his present.
"Come, " she says to him. Then she gives him her present——a box of9 .
"Thank you, my son, "she says "I use my earring to buy10 . You can let me have a new red dress now. "
