I am a doctor at a hospital. I first met 8-year-old Katy on a rainy afternoon. When I went to Katy's room, she was not in her bed. She was in a chair next to Tommy, a little boy. Though Katy did not feel well because of her heart problem, she was playing with Tommy. It took a lot of effort（气力） for her just to sit in the chair. But she played with Tommy because it made him happy.
Katy was always smiling （微笑） although she didn't feel well. She refused to just stay in bed. One day I found her painting a picture. Later, she gave it to one of the older patients（病人）. Another day she went outside to get flowers for another little girl. Katy made everyone smile.
A week later, Katy had an operation （手术）. It was successful! When I heard the good news, I was so excited. Katy slowly recovered and left the hospital a month later.
I have met many patients. However, I have never met another girl like Katy. Even after she got well, she still came to the hospital often. She played different games with the young patients. She read many books to the older patients. She is a hero（英雄） to me and everyone else at the hospital.
