Recently, a new kind of tourism has become popular in China. It's called "Special Forces-style(特种兵) Tourism". This new kind of tourism is mainly about visiting many different places of interest in a short time, especially on weekends. Most of these visitors are college students.
Yu Yinghua, from Shanghai, is one of them. The 22-year-old started her tour in March after she saw some travel blogs on Xiaohongshu, a famous Chinese App. "I am excited to take trips in my spare time." said Yu. "Now it's time! Spring has come and we can go out to enjoy the beautiful natural scenery."
Her trips were in nearby cities and the latest trip was to Shanghai. Starting at 7 am, Yu visited nine local famous places. She said it was a bit tiring, but she enjoyed herself very much.
Another doctoral(博士的)student, Chen Junjun, likes to travel far torelease her stress(压力) from learning. In April, the 24-year-old took a two-day trip to Xi'an, Shaanxi. During her trip, she visited all the interesting places in the city. "Such a trip can help me relax." said Chen.
Even so, such tourism is not suitable for everyone. Visitors have to see as many places as possible in such a short period. Also, visitors can't change their plans as they like during their long trips. "So plenty of energy and a calm mind are necessary for Special Forces-style(特种兵) Tourism." said Chen.
