Mike is in Grade Five. He lives in the city. There is a library, a big park, a science museum, many shops and restaurants around his home. There are many buses and cars on the road. There are also subways underground. Mike went to school by bus in the past (过去). Now he goes to school by subway (地铁). Mike's favourite subject is science. He wants to be a scientist (科学家) in the future (未来). After school he joins the science club. At the weekend he often reads books in the library. There are some robots (机器人) in the library. They help Mike find the books. Sometimes he visits the museum. There are many robots, too.
May is a girl of Grade Four. She lives in the country. There are many new houses with gardens. There are many trees and flowers. When May is at home, she can hear the birds sing. May went to school on foot in the past. Now she goes to school by school bus. May's favourite subject is English. She often reads English story books in the school library. After school, May often goes to her father's farm. She helped dad milk the cows in the past. But now they milk the cows with machines (机器). The machines can work very fast. At the weekend, May often goes to her father's orchard to pick fruits. Sometimes she helps mum make some fruit jam (果酱).
