Last winter I decided to work as a volunteer. I applied for (申请) jobs at a few shops, but all of 1 didn't have any jobs for teenagers. Then, one day my mum told me the zoo was looking 2 teenagers to work on the weekend. So I applied for the job online.
Several 3 later, I got a phone call from the manager. He asked me 4 to work the following Saturday. On Saturday morning I went to the zoo early. The manager gave me 5 orange T-shirt for work. He also gave me a pair of black rain shoes 6 it was wet and dirty everywhere.
My first job was to clean the elephant's house. I was very 7 to work with a girl named Jane. She 8 working there last summer. She taught me how to do the job and helped me a lot. My next job was to clean the lion's cage (笼子). I was scared, but 9 the lion wasn't in the cage at that time.
What a great job I have! Now I enjoyed 10 in the zoo.
