Mary is an 8-year-old girl. She is in Class Two. Her home is not far from her school. But she is always late for school. Mary likes watching TV and listening to music in the evening. She always goes to bed late at night. So she can't get up on time next morning.
This term Mr. White, Mary's uncle, teaches history in Mary's school. He is also the class teacher of Mary's class. He is very strict with his students. He always tells Mary to come to school on time.
Today, Mary gets up late again. When she gets to school, it's a quarter past eight. She sees Mr. White waiting for her at the school gate. "You are fifteen minutes late for the first class," Mr. White says." Why are you always late for class?"
"Every time I get to the street corner I see a sign. It says "SCHOOL—GO SLOW(慢行)!" says Mary.
