Would you like to go to a zoo five days a week! In Cincinnati, the USA, some kids just do this--their school is at a zoo! Starting in 1975, Cincinnati Zoo Academy, a high school, gives classes at the Cincinnati Zoo.
★ Students there study subjects like math and science. But each day, they also spend time learning and helping the zookeepers care for the animals. The Cincinnati Zoo has many different kinds of animals. The students feed (喂) the animals and clean out snakes' or some other animals' cages (笼子). They also need to take some tests about the zoo animals.
"It's great to do this and befriend the animals! "says Katherine Wendeln, a 16-year-old student.
There are bad days, too. For example, animals sometimes run after the students. But the zookeepers make sure that the students are always safe.
After graduation (毕业), most students go to college (大学) to study animal science. And many of them will come back later to work at the zoo.
