Xu Zhuoyuan, a 17-year-old girl, was born in Hunan. She is one of the youngestmountaineers who have ever (到达)the top of Mount Qomolangma.
Xu's mountaineering journey began on a family trip to Tibet and Sichuan fouryears ago. Passing by Mount Siguniang, the (第二) highest mountainin Sichuan, she felt lost in its beauty and decided to try climbing. That was her firsttime climbing a snow mountain, and she f in love with mountaineeringright then and there.
For the next few years, Xu trained really h She did physical exercise like running, swimming and rope skipping almost every day to get rfor the big climbs.
At the age of 15, Xu got to Muztagata Peak successfully in (七月)2022. But her toughest journey was climbing Mount Qomolangma in 2023. Facing a snowstorm at 8, 400 meters in 40 degrees bzero, Xu still pushed on until she stood on the top of Mount Qomolangma. On the very first day of 2024, she touched the snow on the peak of Mount Kilimanjaro in (非洲).
To Xu, mountaineering is not just about being strong physically, it is also a (孤独的)journey of self-discovery. Looking ahead, Xu has set big goals for h She aims to climb the highest peaksaround the world and visit the North and South Poles by the time she's 18.
