Zhang Yufei was born in 1998. As her parents were both swimming coaches, she 1 in the pool and started to learn swimming at an early age. She 2 showed great talent for swimming. When she was 13 years old, she became a member of the Jiangsu Provincial Team. Two years later, she 3 by the national team. She took part in several. competitions and won many championships (冠军称号).
In 2016, Zhang competed 4 her first Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and finished sixth in the women's 200m butterfly event. She was too nervous to do her 5 in the competition. She knew that she needed to work harder.
In Tokyo Olympics 6 young swimmer won two gold medals and two silver medals. Zhang even won the two gold medals in about an hour. She finished her competition with a new Olympic record in the women's 200m butterfly.
