After their hometown holding the 2022 Olympic Winter Games, more and more students in Zhangjiakou, Hebei, are falling in with winter sports. Yu Hangfeng is one of them.
Yu at Xuanhua No. 2 Middle School. It is also where Zhangjiakou Youth Winter Olympic Sports School is. Yu got in skiing(滑雪) when he was a little kid. He thought it would be to ski fast downhill. In 2017 , Yu had the chance to make his childhood dream come true. That year, he went into Zhangjiakou Youth Winter Olympic Sports School.
However, Yu was not pleased with . "It was very hard in the beginning and I could not do well. I had to try again and again after falling." the 17-year-old said. But he never gave up.
After of training, Yu can now ski very well. Last winter, he got his national athlete certification (运动员证书). "My dream now is to become an athlete on the team." he said.
The experience is typical (典型的) for many students in Zhang Jiakou. Liu Jingjing, a teacher at the sports school, said that lots of students like Yu come to the school every year, and some of them have already great talent and they may even become winter sports stars.
