Introduction Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519) was a famous Italian artist. We are excited to share some of his artworks in the exhibition "Who is Leonardo da Vinci? Dialogue between Renaissance (文艺复兴) and Chinese Painting. " It is the first time the Shanghai Museum has held an exhibition that compares Eastern and Western art. We hope you enjoy this art journey through time and space! | What to expect You can see 18 amazing artworks from the Renaissance. Da Vinci's 1490 painting La Scapiliata is the exhibition's highlight. The painting is only allowed to leave Italy once every five years. There are also artworks by other artists like Michelangelo and da Vinci's students. You can also see 18 artworks of ancient Chinese painting. Among them, A Lady Holding a Fine Silk Fan in the Autumn Breeze by Tang Bohu is considered the "best of the best" from the Shanghai Museum's collections. |
