Bullying (欺凌) is a big problem at school. Over 200 million (百万) students in the world are bullied each year. Hurting a person's body is the most common (普通的)) kind of bullying, such as (例如) hitting or kicking. Saying or writing bad things is also bullying, including teasing (嘲笑) others or giving people terrible nicknames (外号). Some bullying hurts people's relationship (关系). For example, some children may tell other children not to be friends with someone.
If you are bullied, you should...
Report it: Talk to your parents or teachers about it. They love you and they have the ability (能力) to help you.
Ask for help: Ask your friends to stand up for you. If your friends are bullied, you should also stand up for them.
Don't bully back: Two wrongs don't make a right. Try not to show anger or tears. Just tell the bully to stop bullying you or walk away.
Try not to be alone: Go to the bathroom with your friends. Have lunch in a group. It's safer to stay with others.
Feel good about yourself: People may bully others for many reasons (原因) or no reason at all. But it's not your fault (过错) anyway! It's the bullies who should feel ashamed (羞愧的).
