There is a hard-working woodcutter(樵夫). He lives in a village. Every day he goes to the forest and cuts the trees.
On a hot day, he is cutting a tree, and his ax(斧头)accidentally(意外地)falls into the river. The river is deep and he can't find his ax in it. The poor woodcutter site near the river and cries.
When he is crying, the God(神仙)of the river wakes up and asks him,"Why are you crying?"
The woodcutter tells him the story. The God of the river says,"I will look for the ax for you."He jumps into the river and gets a golden ax, but the woodcutter says,"It's not mine!"The God jumps into the river and comes back with a silver(银的) ax for the second time, but the woodcutter says, "It isn't my ax, either."The God jumps into the water again and comes back with an iron(铁的)ax. The woodcutter jumps up and says,"Yes! It's mine! It's my ax!""You are honest!"the God says."The silver and the golden axes are both yours, too."
