When you are in the UK, you can find many houseboats on the rivers and canals (运河). Until today, some people still choose (选择) to live on the water. There are many jobs to do every day, such as bringing in clean water and taking out dirty water. In winter, living on a boat can be very cold. They don't have much room if they live with others. It is not easy, but more people are moving to houseboats because of the cost. Another good thing about living on the water is the friendly neighbors. They are quite different from those living in apartments or houses.
