A lion and a mouse live in the same forest. One day, the lion slept under a tree. The mouse ran up and down beside him. The mouse woke the lion up. The lion was angry. He caught the mouse and wanted to eat him. "Don't eat me!" cried the mouse. "I can help you some day." The lion said, "Can you? You are so small and short." But he let the mouse go at last.
A few days later, the hunters （猎人） caught the lion, and wanted to take him to the king. They tied the lion to a tree. Just then the mouse passed by. He saw the lion. The lion was sad. Then he went up to the lion and bit （咬） the ropes （绳子） off. He saved the lion. And he made friends with the lion.
