"Bridge" Connects Countries
The Australia Final of the 17th "Chinese Bridge" Competition was held in Sydney on May 27. The performers dressed up in Chinese traditional clothing, such as hanfu, qipao and-a set of Peking Opera costumes, to show their understanding of Chinese culture. Hallie Richards, the winner of the final, has been studying Chinese since she was five. She hopes this competition will deepen China-Australia friendship. Tai Chi Shows Harmony
World Tai Chi Day was held in Malta on April 27. Verlant shared his experience of leaning Tai Chi. "I first started to learn it to treat my body after an accident. Then, I gradually (逐步地) fell in love with it." Every year, over 500 million people from 150 countries practice Tai Chi and over 30, 000 foreigners visit Wudang. Tai Chi shows the harmony (和谐) between nature and man. ____
Traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) has brought hope to African countries, because it's simple, cheap and useful for locals (当地人) . In China-Uganda Friendship Hospital, Richlove said, "I came here because of the pain in my back and shoulders. Acupuncture (针灸) is a good way.
