Do you think childhood is the most beautiful time in your life? Maybe not. Nowadays, Chinese children are sometimes on weekends than weekdays. Some students are learning exam skills, are taking up hobbies to develop themselves.
The Lins are a typical (典型的) Chinese family. Mrs. Lin's two children are very busy. "On most days after school," She says, "I take my son to basketball training and my daughter to dancing and piano . Maybe I could cut out a few of their activities, but I believe these activities are important for my future. I really want them to have dinner and then it's time for their homework."
Han Yue, a mother of three knows all about such stress. "In some families, competition starts very young and it continues the kids get older," she says. Parents worry if they don't send their small kids to all of classes, their children will fail at the beginning. And they are always comparing them other children.
Doctors say too much stress is not good for children's development. Dr. Luo says all these activities can cause a lot of stress for children. Kids should have time to relax and think for themselves, too. It's normal to want children, but it's even more important to have happy children.
