Once upon a time, there was a forest where all the animals lived happily together. One day, a family went to spend the day in the forest, and one of the little boys of this family left his socks there. Soon after the family left, a monkey came by. He found the socks and decided to try them on. They fitted so well, and he liked them so much that he wouldn't take them off. He spent his days walking through the forest in his new socks.

All the animals talked about the monkey's new look, and some of them envied (羡慕) him getting so much attention. Before long, in that forest, there began appearing squirrels( 松鼠 ) in shirts, rabbits in boots, moles (鼹鼠) with hats on, and even a bird wearing pants!

A big bear, the forest doctor, shook his head, telling other animals:

"This can't be good. Animals don't wear clothes. We don't need them. "

But no one listened to him. They thought he was just old﹣fashioned, and didn't know the latest trends(趋势).

However, it wasn't long before the result of fashion﹣fever came out. Many times the squirrel's shirt was caught on the tree, stopping him in mid﹣jump. And he dropped to the ground from the high tree. The mole tried to fit into his hole without taking his hat off. He was trapped in that hole all day. One of the birds became caught in its clothing. Even the monkey, thanks to his brightly colored socks, fell from one of the river rocks and almost died.

When they came to see doctor bear, he gave them all the same advice:

"Don't wear those clothes any more, because one day they're going to kill you. "

Those who listened to the doctor's advice stopped having accidents. And the animals realized that they didn't need clothes at all. Starting to wear them had been very stupid. Those clothes had only made others envious of them.
