Many schools in China have introduced herb-planting(草药种植classes. They feel like Traditional Chinese Medicine(TCM传统中医) through it. And now it wins the hearts of many young people for its good effect(效果).
Jin Ying, 20, is a lover of TCM. She took part in a three-month training course on accupuncture and tuina(针灸推拿) Since the training, her life habits has changed, after learning the Five Elements theory(五行学说). For example, she not to exercise too much during winter, because people should slow down in the cold winter according to TCM. For her, learning these skills and theories(理论)was not about becoming a TCM doctor but about a new lifestyle.
Doctor Ma is a TCM expert in a hospital. He says that between Western medicine and TCM, young people often choose TCM it can work well on sick people. Some people question why TCM treats the same illness differently. Doctor Ma explains: "This is because it can be a treatment for different sick people." TCM helps young people understand Chinese medicine and learn why people consider it as a of our Chinese culture.
