My grandpa was born in 1958. He went to primary school at the age of eight. He left school three years later because his father was ill. After he came back home, he took good care of his father and stayed with him all the time.
Life was tough and they had no money. He wanted to help his family. He worked in a factory at first. But in his free time, he still studied hard. He often asked his teacher Mr Wang to help with his lessons.
Six years later, he made some money and went to a middle school in the town. There, he met Grandpa Liu and they became good friends. When they met problems, they helped each other. And then they went to the same high school. My grandpa was friendly to others and he was good at English. At the age of 21, my grandpa became an English teacher in a middle school.
He always tells us, "I hardly thought I could be a teacher, but my dream came true." He just did not like the life in the factory, so he worked hard and made a change. I think I should learn from him.
