September 23rd，2021 was the fourth Chinese Farmers' Harvest Festival（中国农民丰收节）.The day before the festival，91-year-old Wu Mingzhu gave her best wishes to all farmers of China.

Born in Wuhan in 1930，Wu finished university（大学）in 1953.In 1955，she chose to study melon in Xinjiang.She and her team spent several years visiting many places there，collecting hundreds of information about melons.In 1984，they cultivated "8424"，a great watermelon in China.Thanks to her great work，the cultivation of melon in China has greatly changed. 

At the age of 81，she got ill.Even when she was ill，she still cared about her study.For her，the best thing in life is to bring the sweetness of melon to the people.
