Reading a good book is like making a good friend. On World Reading Day, students are asked to share their favorite books on our school website. Here is one of them.
Good Book Recommendation(推荐)Card The Prince and the Pauper (乞丐) By Mark Twain ※The writer Mark Twain is one of the best-known American writers in the 19h century. His writing is colorful and excellent. Through his works, we can get a strong feeling of humor and satire (讽刺). ※The plot(情节) It is a story about two boys, one is a prince and the other is a pauper. They look almost the same. One day, they decide to exchange (交换) their lives. And they both live a terrible life at first. As time goes by, the prince realizes the simple joys of common life. Meanwhile, the pauper earns more respect from others. In the end, they both go back to their own lives with rich experience and a new friend. ※Recommended by: Lydia
In my opinion, it is a really interesting and meaningful book. It tells us that even in a hard environment, we cannot lose a kind heart. Learn to get along with people, and cherish what we have!
