    Everyone in our class loves sports. Every morning1 we get up, we do morning exercises. After the second class, we 2exercise again. We only have 3 classes twice a week, but we do physical training at five every 4. The most popular 5 is basketball. The 6 enjoy playing it and many of the girls like it, too. Another popular sport is soccer and in every class there7 a lot of students who like soccer very much. Volleyball is often played when the weather is 8. We have school teams in basketball, 9 and volleyball. Our teams often 10 friendship matches(友谊赛)with teams from other schools. When there is a match, 11 of us are very excited to go to watch it.

    Besides(除…之外) ball games, some of us like track and field events (田径运动), 12 we often practice running and others. Every term(学期) we have 13 in these events and once a year we have a 14 meeting.

    Going to a friend's house is very exciting. You may spend time with a friend and get to see where he lives. So remember to be polite.

    When to arrive

    The first thing to remember is that when a friend invites you to his or her house, you need to arrive on time. If your friend tells you to come "around 3:00", that means you can arrive a few minutes after 3:00, but it is also a good idea to arrive at the right time.

    What to bring

    Often it is also nice to bring something to your friend's house. This could be a box of chocolates for you two to share(分享), or maybe a movie that you can watch together. You can also bring some flowers. A little gift is a nice way to show your friend that you are excited to be at his house.

    How to greet (问候)

    When you visit your friend's house, you may also meet his parents. You should tell them who you are and they may tell you their names. As a child, I went to visit my friend Paul. I called his parents by their first names John and Mary. But now I know it is more polite to call them Mr or Mrs Smith. This will show them more respect(尊重).

    It is a cool thing to visit a friend's house. Be polite to your friend's parents, and you will be invited again!

Today about 15% of the people are left-handed. But why are people left-handed? The answer is the way the brain (大脑) works. The brain has two halves—the right half and the left half. The right half controls (控制) the left side of the body, and the left half controls the right side of the body. So right-handed people have a strong left brain, and the left –handed people have a strong right brain.

    The two halves of the brain are about the same size. But each side controls different things. The left side controls language, Math and logic (逻辑). When you remember new words, or when you put things in order, you use your left side.

    The right side of the brain controls color and music. It is also good at recognizing (认出)faces. This does not mean that all artists are left-handed and all accountants (会计师) are right-handed. Some right-handers have a strong right brain, and some left-handers have a strong left brain.

Julie: Did you like the singing competition yesterday, Anna?

Anna: Oh, it was! Nelly so well!

Julie: Well, I think Lisa sang  than Nelly.

Anna: Oh, which one was Lisa?

Julie: The one with shorter hair. I think she sang more  than Nelly.

    There are many ways for students to go to school. Some students walk to school, they live close to their school. Some students live far  their schools, so they may go by car or bus. In big (city), students can take the underground to go to school.

    Now more people drive cars and the fresh air is  (little). I think going to school on foot is good for us.

    First of all, walking to school is a wonderful way(exercise) and it's good for (healthy). Secondly, it's fun to walk together with friends every day. We can talk about something interesting and know other. Then, if we walk, our parents won't have to drive  (we) to school. There will be fewer cars on the road. More walking and less (drive) helps to make our city cleaner.

    I hope more and students will walk to school. If everyone can do so, we will have a better life and a green world.
