I had trouble (learn) English a month ago. Though I spent much time (practise) my English, I still failed (get) good grades. I didn't know what (do). I wanted (give) up.
Later my English teacher, Ms Zhang, had a talk with me. She told me stories about the well-known inventor Thomas Edison. She advised me (not worry) and also encouraged me (keep) (work) hard. Besides, English company has developed a cloth keyboard that can be put onto your pants. You can control your computer with it (easy) anywhere. The keyboard can be washed it gets dirty. And it can be even ironed.
As the technology improves, smart clothes will become much (smart). Researchers are developing clothes can show your body temperature and heat you up before you feel cold. Other smart clothes to wear are special medical ones. They can tell the doctor when you are danger. This technology can also provide important information about your environment. Shirts can warn you of high pollution levels. Jackets with GPS technology can keep you from (get) lost.
People have begun (love) the idea. Probably, smart clothes will be common on Paris streets, and even in your own home one day.
Last Monday, we had an (interest) and funny English class. In the class, we had discussion about TV shows in small (group). Here is what Li Dong, one of my classmates, (think) of some TV shows.
"For soap operas, I can't (real) stand (忍受) them. They are long and (bore). Some meaningless. They usually make me want to sleep. I love sports shows such as football games and basketball games. I like watching the World Cup on TV best. I think all the games are exciting. do I think of talent shows? I like them. I think I can learn a lot of things from them. What about talk shows? I don't mind them. there are no my favorite shows on TV, sometimes I watch talk shows. But if there is a sports game, I choose to watch the sports game."

Soccer and basketball are both fun games. They are very (interest) sports all over the world. Both soccer and basketball are fun (watch) and play. There are two teams.
Soccer players play on a big field (场地). There is one ball. There are two goals (球门) with nets. Each team (have) 11 players. They try to kick the ball into other team's net. The players cannot use their hands. They cannot touch the ball with their hands. They use their (foot) and their heads to move the ball. The players run. They slide (滑落) on the grass.
They crash into (撞上) one another they both want to win.
Basketball players also play with a ball and two nets. It (be) a team sport with two teams of five players each. Players score (得分) by (throw) the ball through the net on a field. Basketball is all weather sport. Players can play outside. They can play indoors when the weather is not good, they can play basketball all year round.
Katherine Commale is a 12-year-old girl from Pennsylvania. At the age of five, she learnt that Africa malaria (疟疾) killed a child every 45 seconds. She also learnt that people wouldn't get malaria if they slept in a bed net (蚊帐). The cost of a bed net (be) 10 dollars at that time.
"It made me (sad) to know about those poor children," Katherine says. "I wanted (raise) money to buy bed nets for African Children." So she had a good idea.
Five-year-old Katherine (make) speeches at churches and schools. She showed people how important bed nets were for African families. After (listen)to her speeches, many people donated (捐献) money. Katherine sent the money to Nothing But Nets. That organization sent bed nets to Africa.
Besides, Katherine had good idea soon. She decided to make gift certificates (礼券 )to sell for the Christmas holiday. On each 10-dollar certificate there was message. It explained that a bed net would be sent to Africa. With the help of (she) brother and friends, she got more and more certificate orders.
Katherine has helped raise more than $200,000 for Nothing But Nets.
"It makes me happy to help African children," says Katherine. "I won't stop (work) until everyone in Africa has a bed net."

Shyness (害羞) means feeling afraid when you're around other people. Some (child) are born shy. Some become shy later because of (they) life experiences. In fact, everybody (get) a little shy sometimes.
Most people have red faces and can talk in broken sentences they are shy. But some become so shy that they won't go to a restaurant because they are too nervous (order) their food. Some are afraid meeting new people, so they (hard) go outside. This kind of shyness can be bad for a person.
You are shy but you can still do something you want to do. Some shy people do better in (finish) work than others because shy people think(much) but talk less.
But remember not to let good chances go just because of shyness. If you have a chance to sing a song atbirthday party, just do it. There is nothing to be afraid of.
I have lot of friends.My best friend is Mai.She is 16old.She is 2 years older than me.We live in thetown and we began to know each otherwe were very young.Now we are classmates.Mai is tall and thinlong black hair.She has an oval face(椭圆的脸)with big eyes,a high nose and a small mouth.Mai is helpful(乐于助人的).When her friends difficulties.she tries her best to help them.Mai isof the best students in our class.I like study with her.She always me with my studies.Although we have the same hobbies and interests.we also have some differences.I am outgoing and enjoyjokes.Mai,however is serious and quiet.We believe in each other.So we are good friends.I hope we can keep our friendship forever (永远).
