My name is Mariko. I'm from Tokyo. I can speak a little English. But I can't speak Chinese. I usually get up at 6 o'clock and go to school at 7:30 in the morning. I think art is interesting. I don't like science. I think it is boring. I want to come to China and Canada very much. I think they are very interesting.
My name is Mario. I am 12 years old. I go to school at seven fifty and I go home at four twenty. I have lunch at school. I usually eat fish(鱼), French fries, potatoes and carrots for lunch. My favorite subject is music, because it's fun. I want to join a music club. I don't like P.E. I usually do my homework at 5 o'clock and I go to bed at 10 o'clock.
I am Boris. I am from Canada. I like science and art. I want to join the art club. Swimming club is not interesting. I don't like math. I think it is boring. I get up at six thirty and then I run on the playground(操场). My good friend is Sam. He doesn't know Chinese. He doesn't like Chinese food. But he wants to join our Chinese club.
Mr Brad,
I'm in New York now. Please tell me how to get to Yiwu City from Shanghai
Pudong Airport. By train or bus? And how far is it from Shanghai to Yiwu? Thanks!
Kevin
Mr Kevin,
I think you can go to Yiwu by train. It's quick and cheap. Take the Airport Bus No.7 to Shanghai Railway Station (火车站). The cost (费用) is ¥20. Then you can buy a train ticket there. The soft seat (软座) is ¥72 and the hard seat (硬座) is ¥47. It will take you 3 hours to get to Yiwu City. As for the bus, you can find it near the airport. The cost is ¥ 180 and it takes 4 hours to get to Yiwu.
Brad
Do you have healthy habits? |
|
Mary White | Yeah! I think my habits are very healthy. Every day I get up early and go to bed early. Every morning I eat breakfast and eat well. I eat fruit and vegetables every day. And every day I play soccer for two hours with my friends. |
Alan Green | No, I don't. I get up late so I have no time to eat breakfast. For lunch, I usually eat lots of hamburgers. I know they are not good for me, but I like them. I never play sports. In the evening, after I finish my homework, I usually play computer games. I go to bed late, at about eleven o' clock. |
Helen Hard | Yes. My habits are very good. I never eat unhealthy food. Ice-cream tastes good, but I never eat it. It's unhealthy. Every day I get up at six o'clock and go to bed at eight thirty. I eat well and play sports every day. I run with my father for half an hour in the morning. So I' m very healthy. |
I have two friends. They are Jennifer and Victor. We are insame class. Jennifer (swim) very well, so she wants (join) the swimming club. Then she can swim on Saturdays or Sundays. Victor wants to join the art club because he is good drawing.
Li Liang is a twelve-year-old boy. He lives in a mountain(山)village with his mother. He likes (go) to school very much. But it takes(he) about an hour (walk) from home to school, though it's only two kilometers. Do you know? Because there (be) a big river between his home and school. He has to go on a ropeway (cross) the river to school every day.
cars are easy difficult think of money needs is more |
Now the idea of "car sharing (分享)"is popular around the world. That's to say, people are sharing the use of a car. Not everyone has a car. Think about it--although many families today have one car, a lot of them don't use it every day. Some stay in garages (车库) most of their time. When we don't use them, we have to pay for parking (停车) and other things. That a lot of money. To save (节省), some people the idea of " car sharing". If we share a car, we only pay when we use it. Now more and more people starting to do car sharing. In Switzerland, about 40,000 people are doing it. Car sharing is a new idea in transportation. It is also very for us to go everywhere without (不) buying a car.
There are lots of rules at Tim's school. He agrees with(赞同) some of them-For example, they can't arrive late; they can't run in the hallways; and they can't eat in class. All these rules are OK because they are reasonable(合理).
But there are some rules Tim doesn't agree with. For example, at his school, they have to wear the uniform and they can't wear jeans. But Tim thinks jeans are good because they are comfortable. At school, they can't listen to music in art class. But most students think listening to music in art class is relaxing.
Tim also has to follow some rules at home. If he wants to watch TV, he has to finish his homework first. And he can't go out with his friends on school nights, that is, from Monday to Friday. He also has to clean his room every week. But he doesn't have to take out the trash. (垃圾)
