On a cold snowy evening, a rich lady was standing by the road. She looked very worried because her 1 broke down and she had already waited for an hour. Just then a poor man named Robert came. He was on his way back (to the) 2 from the interview* of a company.
The lady thought "Is the man going to 3 me? He looks so cold and hungry." 4 to her surprise, he stopped and said with a smile. "Can I help you, Madam?"
After forty 5, the car was at last fixed* by Robert. The lady wanted to pay him.
"No, that's 6, Madam, "he said. "I was just helping someone in need. If you really want to pay me back, I 7 whenever you see someone in need, you should give him a hand."
A few minutes later, the lady saw a shabby* house by the road. She remembered Robert's words, so she stopped.
The hostess warmly asked her 8. And the Lady could see that it was a 9 family and that they needed help. When the hostess was making tea in the kitchen, the lady 10 500 dollars on a table and went away quietly.
Robert came home later than before, thinking how 11 their life was. His wife was pregnant and the baby would be born the next month but there was not enough money. His wife went up to him, gave him a kiss, just like what she 12 did. Robert hugged his wife, "Honey, I am so sorry. I haven't 13 the interview yet. Tomorrow I will try another company." His wife said 14, "Don't worry, dear!Everything's going to be all right. A stranger helped 15 out."
Let's always be ready to help others because helping others is helping ourselves.

I believe you all have seen Marvel movies before. But do you know who created those superheroes? It's Stan Lee, the father of Marvel. People of all ages love him.
Stan Lee was born in America in 1922. His real name is Stanley Lieber but his pen name is much more famous. With the help of his uncle, Lee became an assistant* in Marvel in 1939. During that time, he was paid only 8 dollars a month. In 1941, his first work Captain America came out and later he became the main comic book writer and editor. He created more than 80% of Marvel's characters, such as Iron Man and Spiderman, so he became as well-known as those characters.
Lee carefully designed the Marvel world so that we can see most of the superheroes in it together. And he even became a character in his stories and played a role of his comic book heroes.
The following is what he once said, "I was embarrassed* before, because I thought I was just a comic book writer while other people were doing great things. But then I began to realize that entertainment is one of the most important things in people's lives. I feel that if you are able to entertain, you are doing a good thing. Without it, they might go off the deep end."
Lee died in 2018 at the age of 95. Though he has left, his superheroes will keep living on.
Have you ever had thought about building a robot? Or putting together a spaceship? Or even seeing your face made out of chocolate? Done. All you need is a 3-D printer.
The possibilities of 3-D printing seem endless. All the user has to do is to design an object on the computer and choose a material to print in. The printers print in hundreds of different materials including glass, sugar and even skin! When the user presses "print", the 3-D printer spreads the materials layer by layer and like magic the object is produced.
The first 3-D printer was invented in 1986 by American, Charles Hull. But 3-D printing has only become cheap enough recently for most people to use. Designers now use 3-D printing to create unusual things. The Dutch artist Dirk Vander Kooj prints furniture made from old fridges.
And doctors have used 3-D printing to print human body parts! The Telegraph reported in February that scientists from Cornell Medical College even printed a man-made ear.
But like a lot of new technologies, if 3-D printing gets into the wrong hands, it can be dangerous.
In 2011 a group of four men in the US used 3-D printing to produce ATM skimmers. These were placed on an ATM and stole over $400,000 from users of the ATM. It is terrible to think that criminals like them might one day use a 3-D printer to print a gun.
But for better or for worse, 3-D printing has been put into use. In a few years, you'll probably be wondering how you could ever live without your 3-D printer!
a. choose a proper material.
b. Press "print".
c. The 3-D printer spreads the material.
d. Use a computer to design an object.
It was midday when I got the call that my grandfather was not well and he was quickly getting worse. My family didn't know how long he would stay in the world. I knew I had to get to the hospital to tell him how much I loved him. As I drove to the hospital, I pictured him before I got to tell him how much he meant to me. Trying to fight back the tears, I wanted to stay calm when I saw him.
When I got to the hospital, I hurriedly looked for his hospital room. I found him in a semi-conscious state*. On my knees, I said softly, "Hello, Grandpa."
Still feeling shy, I decided not to leave his bedside without letting him know. When I asked about how he was, he told me, "I'll be fine, Henry." But we both knew that wasn't true. Then he asked me with a smile how I was doing.
Hearing what my grandpa said, I was much moved. I made the decision that I had to show my gratitude for him. As I found all the courage* I had, I hold his hand tightly. I cried out, "Grandpa, I just want to let you know how much I love you. I hope you already know that yet. I just want to make sure." By this time, the tears were rolling down my face. All those years of love that I had shut and not let him know became free.
Smiling, he said," I know. Thank you for telling me that." "All I have on this planet is my family and my love for them. If there is anything I could ask of you, I want you to be good to your family: your mother, your father, and your brother. That's all I want of you."
From then on, I began telling people how much I loved them, cared for them, and respected them. I got in touch with others to show my thanks. I went down into the city once a week and tried to help the homeless. I woke up every morning and listed everything I was thankful to in my life.
