One day, the students of Class 6 were reading in the classroom. Mrs. Brown came in and told the whole class they would have to change the1the next week. All of the students disagreed2Mrs. Brown, so they shouted when Mrs. Brown said it was because a new student would3the class." Why must we move to another classroom just because someone new is coming?" One of them asked 4. Mrs. Brown stood there without saying anything. After a few minutes, she told them to be5to their new classmate and then she left.
The following week, the head teacher, Mr. White himself brought the new student to their class. 6he pushed the new student to the class because the student was in a wheelchair(轮椅). Mr. White introduced the new student Jeff to the class. He said that Jeff now was a 7of the class and they should work together. He added, "Helping each other is very important." 8could fully understand what Mr. White meant at first.
Over time, they began to understand the reason. Jeff was a 9student and often helped the students who didn't understand their work. The c lass felt very thankful to him. They took care of him because they knew that when someone did something for you, you should do something 10in return.
Many people think heroes need to be handsome, rich, or very smart. But as for me, a hero is a person who always helps others. My hero is Uncle Bill. He is the oldest son of a worker, and he grew up in a poor family with four younger brothers and two little sisters.
He was good at neither writing nor maths. In fact, he never did well in school. So he had to give up school at a very young age. He worked and gave all his money to help his parents. When he was getting older, he found that he was very interested in fixing things. He collected broken things which people threw away and fixed them. He could fix almost everything that did not work. He worked hard and never gave up. Finally, he opened his own repair shop. It took him about 20 years to become a successful shopkeeper.
Now, he is very rich and has four shops. But he never forgets the days when he had nothing. He gives money to poor families, helps poor kids buy books and offers them free lunch. He also encourages people to reuse things. He always says, "Make good use of what you have because we just have one earth."
I am proud of Uncle Bill. He is really a hero.
Bike-sharing has swept across China, with an increasing number of people choosing bike riding instead of driving. The bike that the service company provides has GPS or Bluetooth on it. And those bikes can be easily unlocked with a smart phone and left anywhere in public. Bike-sharing allows people to borrow a bike from one place and return it at another place easily.
In some cities, we can see more and more people riding this kind of sharing bikes. It's very convenient to use the bikes if you have a smart phone. First, you have to download such an APP on your smart phone. Then what you need to do is to find a nearest bike through the APP, scan the QR code(二维码)on the bike or connect your phone with the bike over a Bluetooth wireless connection. You will find the bike can be unlocked itself. Then you can enjoy your trip. What's more, the greatest advantage of bike-sharing is that you can easily find one and never worry about where to park it. The cost of riding depends on the time that you spend. Normally, every hour you ride, you need to pay one yuan. It doesn't cost so much, does it?
At the same time, some people park the bikes in their own homes. Besides, some people don't value the bikes. Now service companies are trying to solve the problem like being stolen.
Technology and science have changed our social lifestyles. We have to say bike-sharing brings us more convenience without doubt. And we also hope that people can not only enjoy it but also put it to good use.
"Let's go wrestling, Dad!"《摔跤吧,爸爸!》) is one of the Top 10 movies recently. It tells a true story about an Indian man and his two daughters. His name's Mahavir. In real life, he is called "the father of India women wrestling" because thousands of girls across India have been supported to take up wrestling with his efforts.
A very famous Indian actor, Aamir Khan, played the role of Mahavir in the movie. It was an unusual experience for him to play this role. Aamir Khan was very serious about his character and he tried to make this character close to the true story. In order to act well, he needed to put on weight to be very fat and then do sports to be very strong in a short time.
Aamir Khan started to eat a lot every day before making the movie. He ate at least 5 meals a day including much junk food. He became too fat to run quickly.
It is simple to be fat but difficult to be strong. Aamir Khan invited many coaches to train him to lose weight and took him a few months to be strong. He must eat less and drink more. Strength training is also important. This kind of physical training is very boring. He had to lift different weights and do it over and over again. Aamir Khan set a goal to himself day by day and the minute he made it, he fell down on the ground and could hardly stand up. In the end, he became the exact person the movie needs.
The role he played was very moving and he succeeded at last. As he says, the most important thing in life is not whether you can reach your goal but whether you have made the greatest efforts.
① He changed his eating habits and did sports to become strong.
② He was serious about the character and he needed to make great efforts.
③ To be fat, he ate too much food.
④ Finally, he succeeded.

Have you ever been cycling(骑自行车运动)? This spring my elder brother and I (spend) a long weekend cycling in the countryside. We rode (slow) along because we hadn't come to break any speed records, or to do sports. We just wanted (get) some fresh air and a break from schoolwork. We really had a great time (ride) along country roads. And there was one of the best things about our trip that made us happy: every few (kilometer) there was a village where we could find everything we needed.
All the local people were really friendly. However, on the (two) day, something happened. We were going down the hill when my brakes(剎车)started making a (noisy), but I didn't mind at all. At midnight we were woken by the noise in the hotel. We were tired when we set off the next morning, but soon felt (cheer) when the sun came out.
What we enjoyed (our) most about cycling is—it's simple and fun. I think nothing is (good) than cycling if you're looking for a break that is active and cheap. Why not have a try?
An Australian dog called Maggie has passed away this week, and her owner thinks she may just be the world's oldest dog.
Maggie lived on Brian McLaren's dairy farm (奶牛场) in Woolsthorpe, in southern
Victoria Australia. We got her when she was only a little pup, just 8 weeks old. We believe she was 29 years old, "Mr. McLaren said. The McLaren family brought Maggie home before their son started attending school. He is now 34. When the kids were growing up, they'd get off the school bus at 4:10 pm and if they were late, she'd be there Barking (叫) at 4:15," Mr. McLaren said. Maggie worked on the farm bringing cows together until about 12 years ago. "She wasn't pampered (娇惯) but she was well looked after. She always had milk—but not too much of it. She loved her milk. "Mr. McLaren said.
"She loved running after the farm motorbike. When she was younger she would want to run long beside it, so the faster you went, the more quickly she would run. She had the greatest life."
Mr. McLaren said Maggie passed away peacefully. She died in her sleep on Sunday night. "The last couple of weeks I was sad I was going to have to put her down, and that was going to break my heart," he said. "I'm so pleased she went the way she did."
According to the Guinness World Records, the oldest age recorded for a dog is 29 years and five months—for another Australian working dog named Bluey.
