There was once a boy. He liked watching TV so much that wherever (不论哪里) he went, he 1 arrived late. He couldn't wait to go back to the front of TV, so he never 2 his breakfast or homework.
One day, the boy got a box, but he didn't know 3 sent it. In the box, there was a pair of glasses and a piece of paper, it said," With these you'll be 4 to see time."
The boy didn't understand. He 5 the glasses, looked at his brother and saw many flowers on the top of his head. 6 it wasn't just his brother. When he looked at anyone through those glasses, the same thing happened. The only difference was that the older (越老) the person was, the fewer (越少) 7 were on their heads.
The next morning, when he wore the glasses, he found the flowers on his head go 8 the TV.
The TV had a big mouth and it ate all his flowers! He was 9 to see that.
So the boy knew that it was not 10 to watch TV for a long time. He decided not to watch TV like before.

One day, there was a blind man called John sitting on the bench with a hat by his feet and a sign that read, "I am blind. Please help me."
A creative (有创造力的) publicist (广告员) named Tom was walking by the blind man and stopped to see that the man only had a few coins in his hat. He put a few of his own coins in the hat. Without asking for permission (允许), took the sign, turned it around and wrote a new message. Then he put the sign by the feet of the blind man, and left.
Later that afternoon the publicist returned to the blind man and noticed that his hat was almost full of bills and coins. The blind man recognized (识别) his footsteps and asked if it was he who had changed his sign. He also wanted to know what the man wrote on it.
The publicist said, "I just wrote the message a little differently." He smiled and went on his way.
The new sign read, "Spring has come, but I can't see anything."
Denis was a thief (贼). He wrote a letter to another thief Pat. But the police got the letter. It reads:
BNLD ZS LHCMHFGS ZMC GZUD SGD SGHQSX ONTMCR VHSG XNT.
What's it about? How can you read it? The policemen were quick. They studied the letter carefully and soon found out what they want. Now let's suppose (假定) you were a policeman. Can you read Denis' letter?
Maybe you need some help: When Denis wanted a letter, he wrote down the letter before it in the alphabet (字母表).
Now can you read Denis' letter? What must Pat do? When? And what did Denis want?
Life in the year 3044 is very different from life in the 21st century. We still do many of the things you did, but we do them differently. For example, we now have e-friends to help us and keep us company. An e-friend is a machine that looks just like a human. It can walk and talk like humans and can do almost the same things as we human do. My e-friend is a lot like me and we have much fun together. She helps me with my homework and we often go swimming. She is computerized (电脑化的) to take care of me in case (万一) anything happens, so I always feel safe when we are together. She can also send me messages. and I can download information from her memory chip (存储芯片). It's so great to have an e-friend—I feel never lonely and I always have someone to talk to.
In fact, I would plan to tell you more about life in the year 3044, I have to send my e-friend to clean up my room, though. Maybe one day I will be able to fly back in time rocket and visit you and old friends.
