    We all know that "Practice makes perfect." is a very popular saying both in Chinese and English .It means that if you want to learn1 , you have to practise it many times, and then you may remember2.     Jim loved traveling in his free time. Once he walked to a sacred shrine(圣地) in the Himalayas. The journey was long and the mountain road was hard to walk on. Though he carried little baggage(行李),the road was very difficult for him. He kept sweating(流汗). Just ahead of him, he saw a little girl, less than 10 years old, carrying a boy on her back. She was also moving on slowly. She panted(喘气) heavily, but her hands still firmly held the boy on her back .

    When passing by the little girl ,Jim said to her, "My girl, you must be very tired because what you carry is so heavy！"Hearing this, the little girl said, "What you carry is a weight, but what I carry is not a weight; He is my little brother. I must take him to the hospital."

    It is true that both a brother and a burden(负担) have a weight. But what the little girl said is also true: What she carried was her little brother, not a weight. She loved her little brother from the bottom of her heart.

    Parents are the closest people to you in the world. They love you just because you're you. And they would do anything for you.

    Like a lot of middle school students, Zhang Li has a problem. She and her parents don't get on well. "I really want to be my daddy's good girl.  But it seems he just doesn't understand. He talks to me but doesn't listen to me," said Zhang Li, a student from Grade Three.

They weren't happy at home. Of course, lots of other children feel that way. But you and your parents will be much happier if you can be friends.

    Here are some ways to have a good talk with your parents: fine a good time to talk, like when you're eating dinner, going out for a walk or watching TV. Tell them something you are interested in, or ask them about their lives when they were young. They love to talk about that! Listen to them carefully, and look at them in the eyes. Be honest, your parents will trust you more. And a trusting family is a happy family.

    How do you study every day? You may answer it in one second: have classes at school, take notes and do homework. Feeling a little bored? There are other ways that can make learning interesting and varied（多样化）. It's called digital learning.

    Digital learning is a way to help students learn by using the Internet. There are three important kinds of digital learning. Apps are computer software applications(应用). People can download them on their mobiles. The other two kinds are social networking services, including Weibo and WeChat and websites. Each one of them is like your teacher. They help you master what you learn at school.

    Compared with traditional learning ways, digital learning has its advantages. Digital learning is also varied. It covers almost every school subject. More importantly, it always offers students the newest resources(资源)to learn from.

    Digital learning is also personalized. You can choose what you like to learn. If you don't master what you have learned at school, you can learn again through digital ways.

    However, digital learning also has disadvantages. When you use digital ways to learn, you've got little chance of talking with teachers and classmates. As digital learning uses computers or smartphones, watching the screen too long may be bad for your eyes. It is better to take a rest every 20 minutes.

    I am from India. India is a large country in southern Asia. It has the second largest population in the world. People in India speak 16 different languages. The main language in our country is Hindi(印地语).

    Do you know Indian food? Indian people think it is good if it is hot. My favourite food is lamb(羊羔肉)with bread and spice. I think it is the most delicious food in the world.

    Only about one third of the people in India know how to read and write. Some parents only send their sons to school. I am very lucky because I know how to read and write.

    The India elephants are very famous around the world. They eat many kinds of fruits, like bananas. An elephant eats between 330 and 350 pounds of food and drinks lots of water each day. So they have to travel to new places to get new food and water. A mother elephant always takes good care of her baby. When she is away, other elephants will look after her baby.

    David is only sixteen years old, but he is(已经)a famous basketball player in his home town. David's mother is an(女演员). She (建议)David to be an actor when he was young. （然而）,David's father liked basketball very much, so he thought being a basketball player was a better (选择). David also thinks that the basketball game is very interesting.

    David is famous because he helped his school team win the high basketball state championship(州冠军) last year. Now David is the key player in his school basketball team, but he thinks there are still a lot of things he needs to do before becoming an(优秀的)basketball player. He (花费)an hour playing basketball at school every day, because he believes that the more he does, the(更好地) he will become. When the (教练)teaches them a new skill, he always does it for many times. Sometimes he thinks these practices are not(足够的), so when he gets home, he will continue his practice until very late. David dreams of becoming a professional(专业的) basketball player in the future.

    I had a good time in Hangzhou during the National Holiday. Hangzhou is a beautiful city trees, flowers and parks. I had three (meal) of all kinds of delicious food there. Such West Lake poached fish(西湖醋鱼) and Dongpo pork(东坡肉). I really enjoyed(I). I can't help telling the good news  you.

    One day, I also took part in a talent show in the street. I sang an old song (call) Auld Lang Syne. I didn't take it seriously. I wished that I wasn't the (bad). But in the end, I won the first prize. That made me feel (excite). In the evening, when I was walking in the street, I even (meet) my favourite singing star Chen Keyu. And I took a photo with him. Oh, my God! lucky I was!
