Life comes in a package (包裹). This package includes happiness and sadness, failure (失败) and success, hope and despair (绝望). Life is 1learning course. Experiences in life 2 us new lessons and make us a good person. With each passing day we learn to deal with different situations.
Love plays a main role3 our life. Love makes you feel wanted. Without love, a person could become cruel (残忍的). In the early stage of our life, our parents are the ones 4 show us love and care. They teach us about 5 is right and wrong, good and bad. But we don't always care about it. It is only after marriage and having kids that we can understand our parents' feelings.
Happiness can bring people a peaceful mind. No mind is happy without peace. Sadness is the cause by the death of a loved one or the failure. 6 all of these things will pass away.
Failure is the path to success. It helps us to touch the sky, teaches us to live and shows us a specific way. Success brings us money, pride and self-respect. Hope is what keeps life going. Parents 7hope their children will do well. Hope makes us dream. Hope builds in patience.
Life teaches 8 not to despair even in the darkest hour, because after every night there is a day. Life teaches us not to regret over yesterday, for it has passed and is out of our control. Tomorrow is unknown, for it could either 9 bright or dark. So the only choice is to work hard today, so that we will enjoy a10 tomorrow.
A person's life is long and it's also short. It is decided by 1 he does. A boring and meaningless life always gives us a feeling of long waste 2 a wonderful and meaningful one is always giving us a feeling of short value.
Now is the past of the future and 3 it's the future of the past. When we suddenly 4 that we waste too much time so that we've got a bad life now, we may feel sorry for what we have ever wasted in the past years. We even haven't got ready for the result 5. So we realize if we have another chance, we'll make a good 6 for the future. We need to prepare 7 for the future so that we won't feel sorry for the past again.
History is what has passed and now will be the past of the future. When we think of the events and people in history that we respect and admire now, they keep8 us that we should be careful of what we do now. And so, we begin to try our best to leave a good past so that we may become a great or at least a good part of the history. If you think like this, you may become the one who has ever made contributions to the development of humans' society. And in the future, you'll be the9 part of the history in others' eyes. You may encourage others to try their best, too.
See the world and our own life 10 a developing way. We will never feel bored and our life will seem so short that we have to value every minute.
Are you aged between 13 and 19 years old? Do you care about your local environment? Would you like to help make the area you live in cleaner, safer and more friendlier? If your answers are "yes", then read on! Here are a few easy things you could do to get started.
Neighbourhood watch
Neighbourhood watch forms are very popular in the UK. If you go away on holiday and leave your house, it's very nice to know that a neighbour is keeping an eye on it. It's a good way to make the area you live in safer.
Lending a hand
There are often elderly people living in the neighbourhood who may not be able to do the things that you can. Offer to do their shopping once a week, look after their garden for them or maybe walk their dog!
No littering
Nobody likes picking up other people's rubbish, but a clean street can make all the difference. Take it in turns to go out once or twice a week and see what you can find.
Recycling
Nearly two-thirds of your rubbish can be recycled. Some areas already provide places for people to recycle bottles, plastic and paper. Find out if this is done in your neighborhood. If it's not, do something about it.
If you are interested in our project, just tell us! You can email us at help@first.org and we'll send you more details.
Nan Weidong and Nan Weiping live and work in a small Beijing apartment (公寓房间). They come from Anhui Province. They go to the local market in Beijing to buy lots of vegetables and they are used for making musical instruments.
The two grew up with vegetables around them. Their music teacher father taught them to learn traditional instruments from a young age. When they were teenagers, they joined a local music group.
But it wasn't until two years ago that they thought of making instruments out of vegetables, and they have been interested in it ever since. They make holes in different kinds of vegetables and get different kinds of instruments.
"The deeper the hole, the lower the pitch (音调). The shallower the hole, the higher the pitch," said Nan Weiping.
The two have taken part in lots of talent shows (达人秀) in China and often get 30,000 to 50,000 yuan for a performance. Each show needs making a whole new set of instruments.
Though the size and shape of the vegetables is important, the most importance is placed on freshness, said Nan Weidong.
"If the water content (含量) in vegetables loses, the tune (曲调) will become higher, or even out of tune. So we choose vegetables with as much water content as possible," he said.
"The vegetables have to be hard. We can't use vegetables left over for days. They are too soft to be played."

There was once a king who had a great palace with a wonderful garden. In the garden, there lived all kinds of animals. All of them enjoyed living there.
There was only one thing that the king hated in the garden: an old tree in the centre of the . It was so old and dry. This made the king so that he finally asked some people to cut it down and turned the place into a swimming pool. However, after the tree was cut , the animals left the garden. Without the animals, the garden was not so beautiful as before. The king was sad, he didn't know what had happened.
A young man went to the king, said he could explain what had happened. "This was because you cut the old tree down," said the young man. "There were thousands of moths (飞蛾) lived in the tree. Birds needed the moths to eat and then produced wastes for plants to grow. The plants then attracted many animals to your garden. So your garden became very beautiful. But as you cut the tree down, the animals had to leave."
"Excellent!" said the king, "I'll make you rich and you will try to make my garden beautiful again."
"I'm afraid will take many years to finish it. To get back the natural balance will take many years," said the young man.
The king was sad, but all he could was just to wait.
A Cloud of Hope and Danger
A small cloud floats through the air in a hospital operating room. In the room a patient, suffering from cancer, lies on a table. The cloud surrounds (包围) the patient, covering her body and filling her lungs (肺). The cloud is not smoke or steam. It is made of millions of microscopic robots called nanorobots (纳米机器人). These tiny robots move from cell (细胞) to cell in the patient's body, destroying the cancer.
Fighting cancer with nanorobots is only an idea today, but scientists say that it could be possible in the future. Using nanorobots for good purposes such as fighting disease or repairing the environment may be the solution to many of today's problems.
However, nanorobots could be a dangerous risk as well. Since nanorobots are so tiny, they will have to work in large teams of many thousands to many millions. For this reason, nanorobots will have to be programmed to build themselves. Scientists will not have the ability to build millions of nanorobots one by one.
This ability to reproduce is making some scientists worried. What if something goes wrong in the programming? Quite a lot of crazy nanorobots would be far worse than any disease. Some people think that if they get out of control, nanorobots could destroy the Earth.
What should be done? Should we continue researching nanorobots or should we search for other methods? This is one of the many difficult decisions that we have to make in the future.
