But many people may not knowthis. In Australia alone there are more than 25 million unused mobile phones lying around, The Sydney Morning Herald reported. The gold in these phones can add up to a value of more than $80 million. There are about 2 billion smartphone users around the world, who change their phone once every 11 months on average. So in China, eighty million old phones come along every year.
However, it's not easy to get the useful things out of the phones. Smartphones have not only useful things but also harmful materials. Guiyu, a small town in Shantou, Guangdong, is one of the world's biggest dumping grounds for electronic waste, Reuters reported. Many recycling centers in Guiyu simply break the old electronics by hand and don't think about the pollution it causes. It's reported that 81 percent of children in Guiyu are harmed by lead poisoning(铅中毒).
Veena Sahajwalla, a professor at Australia's University of New South Wales, has made a mini factory. It makes smartphone recycling cleaner and easier. The mini factory is very small and easy to move around. It breaks the phones and automatically(自动地)removes the phone's useful things. That way, humans do not get poisoned.
Well, have you ever wondered what happens to the old phone after it's no longer yours? A part of your old smartphone could soon be proudly worn around the neck of one of the world's top athletes. Organizers of the 2020 Tokyo Olympics say that medals for the event will be made from recycled phones. They will also be made out of people's thoughts for avoiding waste. They think there is an important message in this for the future.
Einstein has to speak at an important science meeting. On the way there, he tells his driver that looksa bit like him, "I'm sick of all these meetings. I always say the same thingsover and over!"

How to be a friend of yourself?
We often pay attention to developing relationships with others. However, we forget the basic step: being friends of ourselves. How can we have good relationships with others if we don't even have good relationships with ourselves?.
First, forgive(原谅) yourself. It's true that you are not perfect, and neither is everybody else. It's normal for everyone to make mistakes..
Second, accept things you can't change. There are many things you cannot change, such as your background and past.If you face the things you can't change, just smile and move on.
Third, focus on(聚焦于) your achievements. You can try making a list of your achievements, which do not have to be big things. There are a lot of small but important achievements in our life.
Last but not least, stop comparing yourself with others. You are unique. Your success is not determined(决定) by other people. Instead, it is determined by your own life purpose.

In the western world, Chinese takeout with rice and fortune cookies(幸运饼干) is a popular kind of food. But this kind of Chinese food isn't very authentic(正宗的), it is very [̍dIfrənt] from real Chinese food. Now over the years, real Chinese(dish) have become more popular in foreign countries as well.
Chinese people who live [ə̍ brɔːd] introduced many of them. Some have been popular in foreign countries for many years, others are new, like tanghulu. It is a traditional Chinese snack that's madefruit, usually Chinese hawthorns(山楂). The fruit is stuck on a stick of bamboo. Then it is (cover) with sugar syrup(糖浆), which becomes hard after it cools down.
Wang Jialiang, a tanghulu vendor(摊贩) from China, sold 8, 000 sticks in Russia one day. Tanghulu made him [̍ feIməs] in Russia, with his picture(appear) in the local newspaper. In the Russian city of Vladivostok, the deputy mayor(副市长) is a big fan of the snack, always coming to buy it (he)from Wang Jialiang.
