Huang Zhidong's room is like a small museum. The treasures there are not things he has collected, but miniature (微型的) models dragon heads that he has made himself over the years.
The 16-yerar-old boy, who studies at the Dongguan Science&Technology School, is a big fan of making miniature models of dragon heads. This is a traditional form of art in his hometown of Guangdong. The models can be as small as a fist (拳头).
Huang was interested in dragon heads at a young age, as dragon boat races were often held in his hometown. He noticed that every dragon head at the front of the dragon boats has its special color and expression. When he was in kindergarten, he drew pictures of dragon heads. In the fifth grade, he could sculpt (雕刻) them out of wood.
However, the process was more difficult than he thought it would be. "Draw a picture, print it on the wood, sculpt, polish, paint, color,... it includes almost 10 steps," Huang said. He sometimes spends seven hours a day sculpting of the models of dragon heads.
Huang has even turned his hobby into the business. He often shares his works on Wechat. At the age of 13, Huang received his first order for four models of dragon heads after posting pictures online. It took him two weeks to finish the four models. The praise he got from his customer encouraged him to make more models. He has got many more orders since then.
He is now trying to improve his skills. He is sculpting with different kinds of wood and studying the works of master sculptors.

Magic is the performance of tricks. It is one of the art forms in the world. Magic shows usually include a disappearing act, card tricks, or pulling a rabbit out of a hat. But what could that have to do with health?
Alec Brown, an American magician, who made people have fun with magic as other magicians did in his early days. But later he paid more attention to using it to improve the lives of people with disabilities.
A car accident changed Alec Brown's idea towards magic performances. He was badly hurt in the accident and it took him almost a year to get the skills he'd lost. And this made him begin to think about using magic tricks as a tool for healing (治疗). Then Alec started giving classes to teach magic tricks to children and adults with disabilities.
Alec says magic therapy may seem non-traditional. But many skills are similar to the ones used in traditional forms of healing illness—thinking, understanding and social skill are all there. And the social connection with other people can also help people feel better and increase their confidence (自信心).
Amy Snow is an example. She has had a bad illness that makes it difficult for her to walk, understand complex (复杂的) feelings and connect with people. After learning some simple tricks, she could feel something different. "It made me feel happy and proud. It was great!" Amy said.
Alec Brown says seeing kids like Amy come alive has the meaning to him. And he plans to spend more time helping disabled people. He hopes more people can join him in helping the disabled.
If your friends are always making fun of you, you should make sure if they are actually your friends.A true friend won't want to do anything that seriously upsets you. A little teasing (取笑) between friends is normal. Friends are those who truly care about you. Decide if they are really your friends before you fight back.
You don't necessarily need to feel confident all the time, but do your best to look that way; if you appear more confident, you are less likely to be made fun of. People find confidence powerful. If they can't predict what you're going to say, they aren't going to risk making fun of you.

If the situation gets too bad, and you can't find a way to get it under control, you may need to talk to a parent or teacher. They may be able to find a way to deal with the situation. And they will not let anyone know it was you who said something.
