(In 2017) China's government plans to create an economic zone(经济区)called the Xiongan New Area. And it hopes the zone will become a center for technology.
Xiongan New Area will be about three times the size of NewYork City. It is expected to become like Shenzhen—a bridge be-tween Hong Kong and mainland China.
But soon after the plans for Xiongan were reported, problems began quickly.
Stock(股票) prices of companies in the area rose quickly when the plans were reported. But officials halted trading for those stocks for some days at first. When trading star-ted again on Monday, the share prices(股价) of many companies dropped quickly.
When the plans were reported，housing prices in the area rose quickly. Officials then quickly stopped all housing development projects.
A reporter recently visited sales offices in the area. All of them stopped trading houses.
The central government has suggested people move some offices from Beijing to Xiongan. Schools and universities will be also moved to the zone.
A newspaper said the new zone is an important part of Xi Jinping's" Chinese Dream". An expert said the zone could work out many problems，such as pollution and a large gap (差距) between China's rich and poor.

It was my first overseas trip. Laura and I visited Dream world in Australia. We had a fantastic time there. Laura, the daredevil, took many adventurous rides. Being not brave enough, I preferred to tour the theme park by myself. I saw a film in a gigantic theatre and caught a farm show and watched the shearing of sheep. Laura enjoyed her rides on the different roller coasters(过山车). Both of us enjoyed our time there.

We visited Movie World. It was a captivating sight. We could not resist(抵抗)going up to the cartoon characters in the parade. We were busy taking pictures with them. Next, we watched an action-packed stunt show(特技表演). Then we saw a humorous musical show. We had such an entertaining day.

We woke up at sunrise. Laura, the animal lover, wanted to visit Sea World. We were the first ones to reach the theme park. We came into contact with the sharks, dolphins and polar bears. Legends of the Condor Heroes《射雕英雄传》is one of the most famous martial arts novels. An English version(版本)of the book came out in 2018. The book tells the story of Guo Jing. He is not a very talented young man. But he tries his best and becomes a hero to fight for his country. The book is popular in China. But what about the English version? Will foreign readers enjoy jianghu, too?
Anna Holmwood from the UK translated the book. She doesn't think this will be a problem. Western people read stories about knights(骑士) and novels like The Three Musketeers《三个火枪手》), she says. These stories are very much like martial arts novels.
Some people may think jianghu is too foreign for Westerners. However，people a-round the world can enjoy the love, loyalty(忠诚)and honor in the stories.

A 12-year-old girl recently took an IQ test. People found that her IQ is higher than Albert Einstein's and Stephen Hawking's! Rajauri Pawar, an Indian girl studying in England, scored 162 in the famous Mensa (门萨) IQ test, reported the Independent. Mensa, founded in England in 1946，is the largest and oldest high IQ society in the world. To become a Mensa member, you must have an IQ that falls in the top 2 percent of the population that take the tests. Hawking got a score of 160. Although Einstein never took the test, experts said his score would be the same as Hawking' s.
However, what does having a high IQ mean? Will those with a high IQ definitely be-come the next Einstein or Hawking?
Not necessarily. Most IQ tests, including the Mensa one, test one's ability in math, language and memory. However these tests didn't test abilities of knowing how to make things work, according to Richard Nisbett, a professor of psychology at the University of Michigan, US. It doesn't test your creativity or curiosity, either. Also a lot of things can affect one's IQ score, including poverty, nutrition(营养), stress and how familiar you are with the tests.
Lisa Van Gemert, a Mensa expert, said that good habits, perseverance and a strong work ethic are Just as important as intelligence. ①"If you don't develop those other qualities. You can waste a smart IQ, "she said.
