Last week, I read a book-Life of Pi. It's about a boy from India 1Pi, who traveled across the Pacific Ocean in a lifeboat.
Pi's family lived in India and his father owned a zoo. When Pi was seventeen, they decided to 2the zoo and moved to Canada. They sold 3of the animals to several zoos and took the other animals on ship to Canada. 4the way, they met with very heavy rain and the ship sank (沉没).
When Pi woke up after the terrible rain, he 5that his family died and he was in a lifeboat with a hyena, a zebra, an orang-utan and a tiger. When he saw those big 6, Pi was scared. One by one, the animals in the lifeboat killed and ate each other. At last, there was only Pi and the tiger left. 7for Pi, there was some food and water in the lifeboat, but he soon needed to start catching fish. He fed the fish to the tiger to 8it killing and eating him. He also used what he learned from the zoo to control (控制) the tiger.
Pi and the tiger 9227 days in the lifeboat. They were often hungry. Sometimes, Pi was happy and hopeful, but sometimes he felt 10and afraid. At last, they arrived in Mexico.
London is one of the largest cities in the world. What other 1 do you know about it? Do you know there are three "Londons"?
One is the City of London, the oldest part of London. It is the country's' financial (金融的) center. The City is 2 in the day. Lots of people work there. But at night the City is a different 3. Most people who work there don't 4 there. The City is quiet at night.
Another is the West End 5 lots of popular shops and hotels. It's the 6 part of London. There are great theaters, cinemas, museums, long streets of fine shops, and parks. So many people around the world 7 the West End every year. The Houses of Parliament, Whitehall, the Buckingham Palace are also in the West End. Whitehall is very 8 street. Most of government offices (政府机关) are there.
If the City is the "money" of London, and the West End is the "goods (商品)" of London, 9 the East End is the "hands" of London. There are lots of factories in the East End, and many people work there. Many of 10 live a poor life.
The Simpsons are the most popular family in the world. Every week, many people all over the world stay at home to watch them on TV.
his is a cartoon family of five people: all of them have bad-looking yellow faces and big white eyes. The parents are Marge and Homer. Marge has blue hair. She loves her hair very much. She is always very kind to her family. Homer works in a factory and spends all his free time watching TV and eating donuts (炸面圈). He always eats with his mouth open and he is too fat.
Bart is the oldest child. He always gets low marks. He doesn't like to do his homework and often makes his parents angry. He likes playing tricks on his sister, Lisa. Lisa is a little younger than Bart and is always top of the class at school. She's the smartest person in the family. Maggie is the youngest child. She can't talk or walk but she's always in good mood (心情). She can only say one word: "Daddy".
The Sim psons started in 1989 and it's still very popular now. People of all ages like it because the Simpsons are like a real family. They aren't perfect (完美的) or beautiful like a lot of families on TV.
Dear Mom,
Today I'm going to tell you something special, I know you work very hard and feel tired every day.
Every time you come home and see the dirty house, I know you are very angry with me. But you always say nothing and clean up the house. I feel like dying. I really want to help you, but I have too much homework, and I'm so tired, too, I also want to tell you one thing-I love you so much. I usually talk back to you when you say that I don't study hard enough. But in fact I just want you to praise me more. I will try my best to get good grades and get praise from my teacher. So don't feel frustrated(挫败的) about my grades, OK?
I have made up my mind that I will do my homework as quickly as I can so that I can have time to clean the house, I will watch TV less so that I can have more time to study and get good grades. All these things are for one reason— I want to make you a happy mom.
I love you!
Yours,
Sally

There is a new student in my class this term. His name is Jack. Jack is tall and has short curly hair. And he sits next to me. At first he didn't talk to anyone. He always played basketball alone after class. Most of us thought he was not an outgoing boy.
A month later, he started to talk with others. And sometimes he told jokes to make us laugh. I knew that he played basketball well. So I asked him to teach me. With his help, I got much better at basketball. And I found he was really different from me. He is more outgoing and funnier than me, but he isn't as hard-working as me. So I always get better grades. We both love music and we often share our CDs. Now we are in the school basketball club and we go there together twice a week.
