In Western countries, bread is one of the most important foods. Many people have toast1breakfast. They often put butter and jam on their toast. People eat bread at2times of the day too. For example, at main (主要的) meals, they often eat bread with soup.
Another popular meal is sandwiches. A sandwich is two pieces of bread with meat, cheese and vegetables3hem. It is a quick and tasty way to make a meal. It 4a lot of time. People indifferent5have different ways to eat sandwiches. French people usually eat small sandwiches with only a piece of meat and some butter. American people like6sandwiches with lots of vegetables. British people love sandwiches with eggs.
There's not enough clean water for everyone in the world. Some people even (甚至) lose their lives because of lack (缺乏) of water. In a lot of countries, people have to cut down trees for a living. So there's nothing to keep water from running away. Then there are more and more floods(洪水)and droughts (干旱). People also pollute the land and the river. Polluted water can make people sick. Then what can we do to help?
●Don't waste (浪费) water! Take short showers, don't leave the tap running and try to reuse water.
●Stop water pollution. Use natural (天然的) cleaning products instead of (而不是) toxic(有毒的) ones in your home. Planting more trees and flowers can also make a difference.
●Don't litter. Always pick up your rubbish, especially (尤其) when you are at the beach, lake, or river. We should collect and sort (分类) it for recycling.
The International Museum Day is on 18th May. There are lots of interesting museums in the world.

The National Poo (粪便) Museum first opened on 25th March, 2016. It is at the Isle of Wight Zoo in the UK. It is open to zoo visitors during the spring and summer. The museum shows the poo from different animals, such as foxes, cows and lions. Daniel Roberts is one of the museum directors (主任). "Talking about poo is not a bad thing. Animal experts (专家) study animal poo. That helps us learn about animals' health conditions (情况)."he says. |
