Congratulations, "Mrs. Gilbert said. Then she asked the class 3 anyone had good advice for Maxwell. Chen Lu put up her hand first. She was from China. "Is it an upper or a lower tooth? "Chen Lu asked. "A lower tooth, Maxwell said. "You should 4 your baby tooth over the roof(顶部) of your house, "Chen Lu said. Why should I do that? "Maxwell asked. "5 then your new adult tooth will grow properly (恰地). When you lose an upper tooth you should put it under the floor Mrs. Gilbert thought this was a good idea, but Jorge disagreed. Jorge was from France. You shouldn't throw your baby tooth away, Maxwell. You should take your tooth home. Then you should put 6under your pillow(枕头) when you go to sleep, "Jorge said. "Why should I do that?", Maxwell asked, "Because then the tooth mouse will come. He will keep your 7and bring you good luck. The tooth mouse 8 even give you a small toy.
Maxwell preferred Jorge's advice. Mrs. Gilbert gave him a box to keep his tooth in. She didn't 9him to lose his tooth again.
Whatever you decide, you should show your mother your tooth when you reach 10"Mrs Gilbert said. OK, I will, "Maxwell smiled.
Want to say "hello" from Disneyland? Send a post card Beautiful scenes of paradise(乐园), wild animals, silly pictures-you can find them all in one place Where? On a post card! Have people always sent post cards? No. Before post cards, people liked sealed(密封的)letters.
The idea for the first decorated(装饰)post card came to John P. Charlton in 1861. He thought a simple card with decorations would be a great way to send a note. Then in the late 1800s, post cards with pictures appeared. By law, people had to write their note on the front-on the picture! The back was only for the address. Several years later, England allowed a divided-back(分开的)post card. Then people could write their note on the back left side and put the address on the right. During the early 1900s, the golden age of post cards, picture post cards became a craze of the world. In 1908, Americans alone mailed over 677 million post cards. Today, post cards are the third most popular collection in the world after stamps and coins.

Many people get popular on 'live streaming(直播). Some are good at singing. Some give funny(滑稽的)shows. And some show nice taste on clothes. 83-year-old Grandpa Kang is one of them. Wearing sunglasses, a hat and a bright green T-shirt and holding a cup of coffee, he dresses just like a young man in fashion Grandpa Kang tries on different kinds of clothes-from suits to sports clothes, from Chinese style to Japanese and South Korean styles. He would like to try all of them. And he always learns about the latest fashion on the Internet(网络).
"In the 1940s and 1950s, we could only wear Chinese tunic suits(中山装), "Kang says. "But now we have different kinds of clothes and we should try them".
Some old people think they are old, so they don 't want to try or learn new things. "It's not good for health, "Kang thinks, "Everyone loves beautiful things. It shows our love and hope for life. So, old people can try things in fashion, too. "
Life in space is much different from life on Earth. So, of course, people need some time to get used to it. How do they eat, sleep and have fun there?
Eating
Space food is more like the food we eat here on Earth. In the past, astronauts could eat only small pieces of dried food. But now the space station has water, microwave ovens(微波炉)and fridges. So astronauts can eat more everyday food, like fruit, vegetables and ice cream.
Sleeping
All the people in the ISS((国际太空站)have their own rooms. There's no gravity, so they have to tie themselves to their beds, or they'll float away! That seems like a hard way to sleep, but astronauts say that sleeping in space is really not too bad.
Having fun
What do astronauts do when they aren't working? They read books, play cards, listen to music or send e-mails to their friends and family. Sometimes they just sit and look out of the window. Doesn't that sound fun? But is it much funnier if you could see the Earth out of your window with a sunset or sunrise45 minutes?

This was 3 months back when I was in China for a student exchange program. It had been twoand I was in a supermarket searching for basic food stuff(东西). Everything was in Chinese and it seemed thatnobody understood what I was trying to ask. A mixedof loneliness and helplessness began to kill me. I nearly wanted to. crying because I realized that the next 3 months was going to be very difficult.
Then, a man walkedme and tried to ask if everything was okay by gesturing(做手势)to me. I asked himI could find butter. He didn't speak English. But, he realized I was trouble and he called his daughter on his mobile phone. His daughter, a college student, had a very sweet voice. She talked to me in English and asked me what IShe then translated that back tofather and he helped me to find the butter.
It was a very touching moment of my life. In a(n). country, what the man did made me feel warm and welcome.
