Karl wakes up at six a. m. and then has breakfast at seven on weekdays. He likes his school very much. He leaves home at seven thirty and gets to school at seven fifty. He has lessons from eight thirty to eleven thirty. He is good at math. He loves English, too.
He cats lunch at school at eleven forty. He plays football, badminton and volleyball after school. Sometimes he swims. Karl goes home at five o'clock p. m. He eats dinner at six forty p. m. Then at seven o'clock he watches TV. He likes watching TV because he wants to learn more about the world. At eight p. m. he does his homework. He goes to bed at nine o'clock.
Bob is a young man. He is twenty-one years old. He looks handsome. He is a waiter. He works in a supermarket. He works very hard. And he is kind to people. So his boss Mr. Green likes him very much. Every weekend he always gets some money from his boss. But Bob isn't happy because he doesn't like his job. He thinks it's boring. He likes singing. He sings very well and he can sing songs in English. So he wants to be a singer. He likes Jay Chou best and he likes his English song "Thousands of Miles".
How can we get the weather tomorrow? We can turn on the radio and listen to the weather report. We can also turn on the TV and the weather show. We ask other people about the weather in two differ ways: "What's the weather like today?" and "How is the weather today? "Sometimes we can call 121 for the weather. When it's cold, we shiver and need to wear warm clothes. When it's raining, we need raincoats or umbrellas. When it's hot, we need a cool place and want cold drink.
Do you think about turning off your TV? Maybe your life will be colorful. Many scientists also suggest children should watch less TV. TV can give children big problems. First, it's bad for their studies they __________________ too much time on TV. They can't do well in school. Second it's bad for their health, especially for their eyes, because they watch too much TV. Many children are getting "little fat man" and "little glasses". Third, it's bad for your family life. While your families are watching TV, they don't talk too much. Also it has too much fighting. Some children always follow the fighting in real life. If you turn off your TV for a week, maybe you can find something fun to do. Maybe you can read books, learn to swim or paint pictures.
