One day, a boy had a fight with one of his classmates at school. After the school finished, he went to his grandfather and told him his story that happened at school angrily. "He is too bad," the boy said. "And I hate him." The grandfather said, "Let me tell you a story. When I was a boy, I sometimes also hated others for what they did or what they said." As the boy listened carefully, the grandfather went on. "I think there are two tigers inside my heart. One is good and kind. He is always ready to try his best to do anything well. But the other is bad and unfriendly. Even the smallest thing will make him angry. He fights with everyone all the time, and for no reason. He can't think carefully because he always hates others. It is difficult to live with these two tigers inside my heart. I can't stand both of them trying to control me." The boy looked into his grandfather's eyes and asked, "How can we let the good tiger control us, Grandfather?" The old man said slowly, "That's up to you. If you always feel the good and kind one, you will never hate others and seldom get angry."

Chinese astronauts Zhai Zhigang, Wang Yaping and Ye Guangfu gave a science lecture(讲座) from China's space station to students on Earth on December 9th, 2021. The class began at 3:40 p.m., with a total of 1, 420 students attending the lecture from five classrooms across China. The primary classroom is in China Science and Technology Museum. Classrooms have also been set up in Nanning, Wenchuan, Hong Kong and Macao. Tens of millions of students across China watched the hour-long televised event.
Shenzhou-13 members gave the students a tour of the living and working areas of the space station. They showed the students how to increase their strength with their exercise equipment(设备), introduced a specially designed spacesuit and performed experiments. Ye, who is on his first spaceflight, showed how he moved in the weightless environment. They also answered questions from students during the lecture.
It was the first lecture of the Tiangong Class. More lectures will be held and presented by Chinese astronauts. Such activities are held to encourage a love for science among young people.
Shi Yi, a physics teacher in Beijing, said the space lecture was an eye-opening experience that would improve students' interest in science.
Wang Yihan, a fifth-grade student, said, "The experiments really surprised me. I have great interest in spaceflight and would like to take part in our country's space program in the future."
Vincent Wong, headmaster of Hong Kongs Pui Kiu College, said the event gave Hong Kong students an chance to communicate with the astronauts. "It also helped to strengthen (加强) their national identity(认同) as they saw the rapid development of our country's space technology, " he said.
According to a latest report, several schools in China are using a special kind of uniform to watch their students' daily life and stop them from playing truant.
Such uniforms have tracking chips(追踪芯片) in them which can record the time and date a student enters the school and a short video that parents can see through a mobile app.
Once a student doesn't have class without asking for leave, an alarm will send messages to tell both teachers and parents about it. And an automatic(自动) voice alarm will go off as long as a student leaves school without teachers' agreement. A GPS system also follows a student's movements once he has left the school.
Eleven schools in Guizhou have introduced the uniforms which are developed by Guizhou Guanyu Technology. But the company's project manager said the school would not use the tracking system during out-of-school hours unless a pupil was missing. The project manager said that fewer and fewer students had been absent from school since the uniforms were used in some schools.
However, the uniforms have also been criticized (批评). "If you were a child, would you like to be watched 24 hours a day?" One Weibo user asked. "Don't children have human rights and privacy(隐私)?"Added another user.
A headmaster in Guizhou said that although teachers were able to track students at all times, they actually don't use this technology often.
"We choose not to check where students stay at any time after school, but when the students are missing and playing truant, the uniforms can help to find out where they are." the headmaster said.

Our grandparents seem to have magic powers sometimes. Give them a Chinese lunar calendar they will know what the weather will be like days or even months later.
What's the ? They are following the 24 Solar Terms (节气), which are an important part of Chinese culture. Last year the United Nations it to the list of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity (人类非物质文化遗产).
The 24 Solar Terms began during the ancient periods. At that time, most Chinese people made living on farms. So weather changes were important for them. But of course, they had weather report or Internet to help them.
But people found a way. They studied the sun's movement and also attention to other natural changes such as air temperature, water and plant growth. In the , they worked out the 24 Solar Terms to mark the changes.
The terms became their guide to farming work. For example, the solar term jingzhe(惊蛰) is when insects wake up a long sleep in the cold winter. Farmers take it as a sign of warm weather and get busy working.
The 24 Solar Terms is considered as China's great invention, after paper-making, printing, compass and gunpowder. Now, it is still widely used in life even in the age of modem farming.
