Daye, a city in Hubei has anew special way to stop people from jaywalking (乱穿马路). In the center of the city, you can find some yellow posts at the two sides of the crossing. There is a facial recognition system (脸部识别系统) in each post. When a man is trying to run a red light, it will spray (喷洒) water on him. A big TV near the crossing will show any jaywalker's face at once.
The yellow posts can not only spray water but also keep telling people to obey traffic rules, "It's now a green light. Please cross the road and be careful. "When the light turns red, the posts will say, "You are running the red light now. Please do not cross. It is dangerous. "
"This is a good idea. It can stop people from jaywalking. We are sure there will be fewer traffic accidents, "a traffic policeman said. Traffic police are testing (测试)the system. They hope to use it in other areas of the city one day.
