Once a man and his wife worked for a businessman. There was a big box in the businessman's living room. The businessman pointed at the box and said, "There's only one thing you mustn't do. Don't 1 the box." After saying this, he left for the company.

"But there was nothing in the box," the woman said. "We haven't taken anything at all." The businessman shouted at them, "The box is not important. I cannot believe you. That's 5!"
There are many festivals around the world. Dads have Father's Day. Mums have Mother's Day. But do our grandparents have a 1? Yes, they do.
The Double Ninth Festival is a 2 day for old people in China. The festival is on lunar September 9th. On this day, people show 3 and respect (尊敬)for their grandparents.
Respecting old people is a tradition in China. There are many ways for Chinese people to 4 their respect. When an old person enters a room, everyone should stand up. Also, people are introduced from the 5 to the youngest. When we give something to an old person, two hands are used. The old usually don't have to buy tickets for buses and young people always 6 their seats to old people on a crowded subway or bus.
However, in western countries, old people have 7 lifestyles from those in China. They don't often live with their children—they live 8. They don't want to get help from others. They even don't want to be offered seats by others.
Westerners 9 respect old people. For holidays, families usually 10 at the grand-parents' homes. A great smile and a warm hug are enough for grown children to show their respect.

Lucy Brown, aged 12, puts smiles on the faces of kids and keeps them very warm too. She sews (缝纫) blankets (毯子) for children who are dealing with challenges such as being sick, feeling unhappy, or losing a family member.
Lucy got the idea four years ago. She had just learned to sew and made a blanket as a gift for her friend's birthday. "She loved it," Lucy says. "So, I thought maybe other kids might need that kind of love."
Her mom posted (发布) on the Internet that Lucy wanted to make a blanket for someone who needed care. They collected the kids' suggestions. When 20 suggestions came, Lucy didn't just choose one. She met all of their needs! She has already made more than 800 blankets for kids in countries.
Her favorite part is learning about each child. "I love hearing their stories and getting to know them," she says. She tries to design styles according to the children's interests.
On each of the blanket, Lucy adds a hand-sewn (手工缝制的) heart. "That's to let anyone who gets the blanket know they are loved," she says.
Many kids who receive a blanket keep in touch with Lucy. She now has friends all over the world. "I love knowing that I can make a difference." Lucy says. "Everyone can do something. Even the smallest act of kindness can change lives."
Sharing the Long Journey
The six-month stay for Chinese astronauts in the Tiangong space station has just ended. Before they returned to the earth, they faced one last test—returning home safely. What had they done before they left the station?
To go home after a long journey, you have to pack up. Besides their personal things, astronauts also need to bring home experimental data and samples (资料和样品) for further research on Earth.
The three astronauts also needed to clean "the house". They must collect leftover food and the waste. The waste was put into the orbital module (轨道舱). It burned up as it enters Earth'satmosphere (大气层).
The astronauts must also put equipment (设备) back in place. They needed to make sure that things like gym equipment are fixed to the walls for safety.
Astronauts experience microgravity (微重力) for long periods of time. This affects their bodies. The three astronauts did physical exercises to keep strong. Experts made exercise plans for each of them to land safely.
Tiangong space station will be completed before the end of this year. Other astronauts will be sent there for further tasks.
If you go into the forest with friends, stay with them. If you don't, you may get lost.
One way is to sit down and stay where you are. Don't try to find your friends. You can help them find you by staying in one place. That's the most important thing you should do.
Give them signals(信号)—shouting three times. Stop. Then shout three times again. Any signal given three times is a call for help.
If you don't think you will get help before night comes, try to make a little house cover up the hole with branches (树枝) with lots of leaves.
When you need some water, you have to leave your little house. As you walk, make some marks to help you find the way back.
A. Let them find you.
B. Don't just walk away.
C. If you get lost, this is what you should do.
D. Make yourself a bed with leaves and grass.
E. There is another way to help your friends or other people to find you.

Happiness is for everyone. In fact, happiness is always around you, if you put your heart into it. When you are trouble at school, your friends will help you. While you are at home, your parents always take good care of you. When you do something wrong, people around you will help you to it. When you help others, you will have a strong feeling of happiness too.
Happiness is not bought with money. It is a feeling of your heart. When you are , you can also say you are happy. As the saying goes, "Life is a revolving(旋转的) door." When it closes, it also opens. you take every chance you get, you can be a happy and lucky person.
