Many of us don't pay much attention to the importance of eye care. It is said that if you take care of your body, then you can surely be healthy. That is why our eyes should be given a lot of care. Natural eye care should be put in a number one place.
There are several causes leading to poor eyesight like having not enough food, genes (基因) and aging (老化). Televisions, computers and reading are also the causes of having poor eyesight. If you happen to work in front of the computer, it is best to take a break every once in a while. Something dirty can cause redness and they will make you feel uncomfortable. It is bad for your eyes, too. If this happens, the best way is to clean your eyes by using cold water. You must also try your best to protect your eyes from harmful things. For example, sunglasses are not just for fashion but they can also serve as a great way to protect your eyesight from UV rays.
Eating healthy food will do good to your eyesight. Remember that vitamins A, C and E are good for eyes. Try to eat food groups that have these vitamins. And you should do eye exercises which can protect your eyesight, too. If a person exercises regularly and eats the right kind of food, his eyes will stay in good condition for a long time.
All above are natural ways of eye care that help us to keep healthy eyes. Being happy all the time can be helpful to a person's eyesight, too. In a word, eye care is very important, no matter how old a person is.
Doctors are known to be terrible pilots. They don't listen because they already know it all. I was lucky: I became a pilot in 1970, almost ten years before I graduated from medical school. I didn't realize then, but becoming a pilot makes me a better surgeon. I loved flying. As I flew bigger, faster planes, and in worse weather, I learned about crew resource management (机组资源管理) , or CRM, a new idea to make flying safer. It means that crew members should listen and speak up for a good result, regardless of positions.
I first read about CRM in 1980. Not long after that, an attending doctor and I were flying in bad weather. The controller had us turn too late to get our landing ready. The attending doctor was flying; I was safety pilot. He was so busy because of the bad turn, he had forgotten to put the landing gear(起落架) down. He was a better pilot-and my boss — so it felt unusual to speak up. But I had to: Our lives were in danger. I put aside my uneasiness and said, "We need to put the landing gear down now!" That was my first real lesson in the power of CRM, and I've used it in the operating room ever since.
CRM requires that the pilot/surgeon encourage others to speak up. It further requires that when opinions are from the opposite, the doctor doesn't overreact, which might prevent fellow doctors from voicing opinions again. So when I'm in the operating room, I ask for ideas and help from others. Sometimes they're not willing to speak up. But I hope that if I continue to encourage them, someday someone will keep me from landing gear up.
A severe drought(干旱) that has caused water levels in Southeast Asia's Mekong River to drop to their lowest in more than 100 years could have devastating(毁灭性的) consequences for fish, as well as the tens of millions of people living and working along the river, experts warn.
This year, the dry conditions in the Mekong region persisted(持续) due to warm Pacific Ocean currents(洋流)known as the EI Nino effect. But climate change is also a driving factor, experts say, causing the rainy season to shorten considerably. The situation was made worse by hydropower (水力力电)dam operators upstream, in China and Laos , withholding water for their own purposes.
Many rice farmers in the region have been unable to plant their main crop, raising fears 'of a heavily diminished harvest this fall. Less water flow could also have a devastating impact on fish reproduction in the Mekong River basin. Perhaps even more alarming, experts expect that droughts and disruptions(中断)to the water flow of the Mekong will become more common, and they warn that it could eventually lead to the ruin of the entire ecosystem.
Originating in the Tibetan highlands, the Mekong River flows through six Asian counties before emptying into the South China Sea. The river basin is home to the largest inland fishery in the world and more than 60 million people depend on it for their livelihoods.
Few rivers in the world rise and fall with the seasons as much as the Mekong, which can drop Few rivers in the world rise and fall with the seasons as much as the Mekong, which can drop up to40 feet in some places at the end of the dry season. When the rainy season arrives, they normally produce a flood pulse that brings with it sediment(沉淀) important to agriculture as well as huge amounts of tiny fish, including many critically endangered species such as the Mekong giant catfish, that are swept into the Tonle Sap Lake and other floodplains where they can mature.
How to be patient
Have you ever been stuck in a long lunch line, or struggled with a difficult project at school? If so, you have probably felt impatience, too. Impatience is a natural reaction in situations where things aren't going your way. Practicing these strategies(策略)will help you feel calmer and happier even in frustrating situations.
Notice your thoughts and physical feelings. The next time you are getting impatient, take a moment to notice the thoughts you are having and how your body feels. Maybe you start to have thoughts like, "This is taking forever, " or feel your hands clenching or your breaths getting shorter. Sometimes people also experience anger.
Take small, simple actions to distract yourself. It can be something as simple as holding your phone or moving it from one pocket to another. Focusing on the physical feeling of the act will distract you and give you a moment to regroup.
Take deep breaths. Close your eyes and breathe deeply, holding in your breath for a moment before letting the air out slowly. Deep breathing will calm your body and soothe your impatient thoughts. This can prevent you from reacting to your frustrated feelings in a way you may later regret.
Shift your outlook. Instead, concentrate on something that you can change: your outlook. You can try to find something positive in the situation you are facing. This can be hard at first, but pushing yourself to focus on the positive will make you feel better in the long run.
A. Interrupt the impatience.
B. Create a personal strategy.
C. It will also force you to pause for a moment.
D. These are the physical and mental signs of impatience.
E. Controlling what you think and how you feel is not easy.
F. Most situations that make you feel impatient cannot easily be changed.
G. However, you can learn ways to control and quiet your impatient feelings.

They can also keep the house at a pleasant temperature all year round, that makes the house more comfortably to live in. Besides, if there has an accident happening in the house, the host will receive a alarm call immediately. More importantly, once some natural disasters break off, the house can fly away to avoid it.
