If you are a teenager without a job, you probably do not have much extra money. Sometimes parents will give their children a weekly pocket money for doing small housework, but it is often not enough once the children grow into teenagers and want to do things with their friends all of the time. How to make money is an important thing for teens to learn. If you're wondering how a teenager can make good money, some ideas might be:
Getting a part-time job at a local restaurant or store is always a sure way to make money as a teen. But getting a job somewhere like this might be hard, considering mangy jobs in local stores are being taken by adults more and more often. Babysitting is always a good way to make money as a teenager, and finding jobs as a babysitter is often easier than finding a job at a stores.
Doing landscaping(绿化)is something that most adults do not like to do, and teens can usually find jobs around their neighbourhood doing the landscaping of friends and family.
Some teens are good at something such as writing or photography. These teens can make money by doing things such as writing articles for newspapers or magazines or selling their photos online.
Teens who live in a country area can try raising their own animals such as chickens, and selling them or their products.
Looking for jobs can seem hard at first, but if you have a try, it should not be too hard to find a job or way to make money.
The oldest stone buildings in the world are the pyramids. They have stood for nearly 5, 000 years, and it seems likely that they will continue to stand for thousands of years yet. There are over eighty of them along the banks of the Nile, some of which are different in shape from the true pyramids. The most famous of these are the "Step" pyramid and the "Bent" pyramid.
Some of the pyramids still look as much alike as they must have been when they were built thousands of years ago. Most of the damage suffered by the others has been at the hands of men who were looking for treasure or, more often, for stones to use in modern buildings. The dry climate of Egypt has helped to keep the pyramids in good condition, and their very shape has made them less likely to fall into ruin. These are good reasons why they can still be seen today, but perhaps the most important is that they were planned to last forever.
The "Step" pyramid had to be on the west side of the Nile, the side on which the sun set. This was for level of the river to protect it against the regular floods. It could not be too far from the Nile, however, as the stones to build it needed to be carried in boats down the river to the nearest point. Water transport was, of course, much easier than land transport. The builders also had to find a rock base, which was not likely to break under the great weight of the pyramid. Finally, it had to be near the capital, or better still near the king's palace so that he could visit it easily to personally check the progress being made on the final resting place for his body.
In Europe, many people make friends between their countries through town twinning. Town or city twinning means two towns in different countries agree and decide to become "twins" with a sister city relationship.
The people find pen friends in the twin town. They exchange newspapers and stamps. The school teachers discuss teaching methods with the teachers in the twin town. Officials visit the twin town for celebrations. Ordinary people travel to the twin town, too, but not very often if it is far away.
Sometimes, schools even exchange their classes for two or three weeks! For example, German middle school students study for a while at the school in their twin town in Britain, staying with British families. A few months later, their British friends come to study in Germany.
Many British towns are so pleased with the results of the twinning that they set out to find more than one twin town!
Tonbridge, a small town in Kent, for example, has twin town in both Germany and France. Richmond near London has relationships with Germany, France and even a town in a Balkan country!
Town twinning can help make friends. It helps students improve their language skills, and also helps people to understand the differences between nations.
How to Make Good Conversation
"Conversation is the most sociable of all human activities. " I totally agree with this point. Conversation is the main part of everyone's daily life. What's more, good conversation is the most interesting part for us. In my view, you should pay attention to the following three issues to make good conversation.
To start good conversation, we'd better prepare some questions. . We can ask some questions to show our politeness and care for others. Like, do you have a good sleep last night? Or what do you do in your spare time? Think twice before you throw a question to others.
We should pay attention to what others said and think in their shoes. Allow the others to do most of the talking. Be patient and hold interest for their comments and make some noise to show you are listening carefully. In this way you will get the credit for being a good conversationalist as well as a good listener and it will help you to make friends with others.
We always said eyes are the windows to the soul. Appropriate eye contact is like a great element of the main dish which makes it more delicious. . It will help us to improve mutual (相互的) understanding. Do not hesitate to look into them. But don't stare at them and don't look at them for too long a time. It would make others feel uneasy and unwilling to go on talking.
A. Good questions make people feel comfortable.
B. Without conversation, life would be as cold as a rock.
C. The most important part of conversation is to listen.
D. Enjoy good conversation and be friends with them.
E. Do not interrupt others when they share their views excitedly.
F. They have some ideas that they want us to know and even convince us.
G. During conversation, we should look the speakers in the eye friendly.
Mr. Swales was talking about what people do all day. He also wanted to find out what his students wanted to be when they 1. He called on Billy Miter first.
"My daddy works in a bank," Billy Miter said. "I guess I want to work in a bank too. There's lots of 2 in the bank. "
"My parents have a grocery store," Emmy Disavow said. "Papa's behind the 3 and Mama keeps the cash register. But I want to be an airline pilot."
Jodie liked it when Mr. Swales asked them 4 like this. He was about to call on Jodie 5 the girls in the back row burst out 6.
Shirley Danes shouted, "Jodie's Daddy is a 7! Pee-yoo! "
Everybody in the class laughed out loud. Everybody except Jodie, that is. She felt her face turn bright 8. She looked around the whole 9. Everyone was laughing. Some kids were 10 holding their noses.
Jodie looked at Mr. Swales. He was 11. He almost never raised his voice, but now he did.
"Silence! I want everybody quiet this instant. "
The laughter stopped 12. The sound of cars and people going by out on the street came 13 the windows. "You should be 14 of yourselves," Mr. Swales said. "Being a garbage man is a (n) 15 and very useful job. We should all be 16 to Mr. Harris. "
"Garbage is a serious matter. I think you all owe Jodie a(n) 17. " Mr. Swales went on. "And after that, you're all going to write Jodie's father, Mr Harris, a nice 18 to tell him how much you appreciate what he does for all of us. "
Mr. Swales came to Jodie's desk and 19 her on the shoulder. "I'm sorry this happened," he said. "But remember, hard work done well is something to be 20 of. There's nothing wrong with being a garbage man, absolutely not. "
If you don't use your arms or your legs, they become weak; when you start using them again, they (slow) become strong again. Everyone knows that. Yet many people don't seem to know that memory works in same way. When someone says that he has a good memory, he really (mean) that he keeps his memory in practice by using . When someone else says that his memory is poor, he really means that he does not give it enough chance (become) strong. If a friend says that his arms and legs are weak, we know that it is his own fault. But if he tells us that he has a poor memory, many of us think that his parents are (blame), and few of us know that it is just his own fault. Have you ever found that some people can't read or write but usually they have (good) memories? This is they can't read or write and they have to remember days, names, songs and (story), so their memory is the whole time being exercised. So if you want to have a good memory, learn from them. Practice (remember) things in a way as these people do.

This afternoon I was having a PE lesson while I fell down and hurt my foot. I was in greatly pain at that moment, but I tried to act as if nothing has happened until the class was over. Though I had difficulty walk back to my classroom, I still didn't tell anyone but even refused the offer of help of my classmates. As result, the hurt in my foot became bad. Now I know I am wrong. We can tell others our need for help and accept his help. Some day we can help others in return for. In this way, we can get along to each other happily and peacefully.
