During COVID- 19, children couldn't go to school. However, nothing can stop 7-year-old Bryan Rumfelt from doing one of his favourite things-reading. He thinks that many people can read at home, but younger students may not be able to read by themselves. So Bryan decided to read to them.
Bryan always reads books out loudly for his grandmother. One day, his grandma recorded (录制) his reading and put the video on Facebook. That's when Bryan's Book Corner started. “I love reading books. Some children can't read but want to hear stories, so I want to help them,” Bryan said.
Now, there are over 1,000 people in Bryan's Book Corner. Bryan thinks helping others is a great thing. Bryan helps children learn to love reading. He also sets a great example for them.

These days, a story about a 19-year-old girl moves a lot of people.
The girl is Li Xinyu. She is from Sichuan. She is a little different from other students. She lost her right hand. After the 2020 gaokao, she entered Central China Normal University (华中师范大学) in Wuhan, Hubei.
Li lost her right hand in the Wen chuan earthquake in 2008. The strong—minded girl didn't lose hope. She always tried her best to solve difficulties. Li's father said in bad times, she even comforted (安慰) the family.
After the terrible earthquake, Li started to practice writing with her left hand. She could write quite well three months later. Li was hard—working, and she did well in schoolwork. In 2020, she scored 625 in the gaokao and went to her dream school.
When people ask her about the university life, Li says she'll keep studying hard, join clubs and make more friends. She is ready for the exciting life in the university.
Joshua Coombes' trip to Washington, D.C. was unusual. He did not go to the popular places of interest. He went to the train station. Many homeless people were outside the station. Most people walked by without paying any attention to them. Coombes, however, walked up to them. He talked with them and then gave them haircuts for free.
Homelessness is common in many Western cities. Coombes knew he couldn't solve everyone's problems. But the hairdresser has his way of spreading (传播) love. Something small, like a haircut, can sometimes go a long way, he says. It makes a person feel better.
Coombes travels around the world. Every time he meets a homeless person, he gives him or her a haircut. Over the past two years, he has served hundreds of homeless people. People often talk to their hairdressers about their lives. Homeless people do, too. Coombes likes hearing their stories.
The hairdresser says that these days, people are spending too much time on the Internet. Real life, however, is not on our screens. Coombes hopes more people will join him in spreading a little love. There are many other things we can do to help make this world a better place.
