I had an opportunity to teach at a five-star hotel in Nevis, a small island in the Caribbean Sea. After that, my friend Clayton and I flew into Panama City for a surfing outing at a surfing camp in the bay of Chiriqui, whose tourism is booming. To get there, we had to take my tennis bags on and off several buses and boats. After eight hours of travel we finally arrived. The camp was perfect, and the accommodations were not bad. We had an unbelievable week there!
On our return trip, when we got to the bus station, we learned that our bus had been delayed for 2.5 hours. The sun was beating down on us.
As we walked over to the shaded area, a couple of kids started throwing rocks at me. I opened a can of tennis balls. They stopped and took an interest in the balls. I had a special racket (球拍) with me. I had the strings cut out and replaced them with a net, which is prefect for hotel teaching. I got them to throw the balls into the net. They seemed to enjoy that. Then an older boy got interested, to whom I gave another racket to hit the ball into the net of the catching racket. I showed him how to position and hold the racket. Soon, their bus arrived, and they were on their way.
But families from across the street came over and wanted their 10-minute tennis lesson, too. The other passengers waiting for the bus each got a lesson. Eventually, restaurant workers next door and the bus terminal clerk invited me to give them a lesson, too. They learnt well and were having a great time. And so was I. In what seemed like no time, our bus arrived. Satisfied with what I did, I changed my shirt, and made it back to Panama City.

"Hungary?" I looked at my school headmaster in confusion. "I never mentioned wanting to go to Hungary." And with that, my adventure started.
My name is Jonathan Diamond and I just finished an amazing exchange year in Hungary.
Going on an exchange had always been my dream. When my high school offered an all-year program, I jumped at the opportunity. It would pay for almost everything and all I had to do was get a plane ticket. I knew where I wanted to go: Spain, the country of dancers wearing flowing red dresses. So when I heard that I was going to Hungary, I was pretty shocked. But I decided to make the best of it, since it was, after all, a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. Before I knew it, I was on the airplane, leaving for Budapest International Airport, Hungary.
I had times when I almost gave up. Hungarian is the hardest language on the planet. Cultural differences occasionally embarrassed both my peer teens and me. I had to give up eating carrots, my beautiful favorite, for they think carrots are rubbish in their country. The change in the landscape was amazing, looking nothing like skyscrapers, bullet trains, cars, and people in tiny houses that I had been accustomed to. Gradually, I fell in love with the relaxing lifestyle, the warm-hearted people, and getting home at 2:30 p. m. at the latest from school. And I was sad to leave on my very last day.
Having the host family who took me as one of their own members was the best thing I have ever experienced. From my little sisters, I learned how to embrace life to its fullest. From my brothers I learned that it's OK for a boy to run around the house. From my host parents I learned to stay positive, to smile, and that when you pick the right persons and take their hands, suddenly, you become friends.

In a village lived a milkman, who owned a few cows. Though his family wasn't very 1 , they had a self-sufficient life (自给自足). One day, his son asked him what the secret of his life was. He used the opportunity 2 his son. "The secret of my life this: The cow doesn't give milk," said the father. The boy asked his father in 3 , "What are you saying?" "As you hear it, son, you must know the cow doesn't give milk 4 , and you have to milk it. If you don't milk it every day, it will 5 giving milk. And I won't be able to support our 6 . When you search for 7, remember what I said," said the father.
The milkman continued, "I have to get up at 4 o'clock every day. First, I need to clean the waste on the farm. Then I need to 8 the legs of the cows and start to milk them. After that, I have to try my best to 9 the milk." Hearing this, the son was 10 , and he decided to go to the 11 to help his dad.
Yes, what one 12 is from what one does. Happiness is the result of efforts. A cow doesn't give milk on its own, and neither do all the things that one 13 to have. Thus one has to work hard to get whatever he needs, and it can lead to new 14 in life, and one may be 15 one day.
The Moon's near side, the one we all see, has been the target of many robotic and human missions. However, its far side, also (call)the dark side because it faces away from the Earth and little (know)about it, has never been explored. That changed on Jan.2, 2019, when Chinese spacecraft Chang'e 4 made a soft landing on is often referred to as the dark side.
The landing is example of China's growing desire (compete)with the American, Russian and European space programs.China also wants to (strength)its position as a regional and international power.
One of the great (difficulty)in exploring the far side of the Moon is that it blocks all radio signals, (make)it impossible to communicate with the Earth. To overcome this difficulty, in 2017, the Chinese National Space Administration launched a satellite to orbit the Moon and relay the signals.Once a (rely)communication path was in place, Chang'e 4 could send back information.
Chang'e 4 will make astronomical observations and examine the structure and mineral composition of the ground above and below the surface, researchers believe will provide insights into the solar system's early days and perhaps even the origin of the first stars.

Dear Peterson,
Our school is planning to hold
Yours,
LiHua.
I was always a big fan of football, and watching a game at the stadium was obviously one of the best ways to be free from work and relax. Therefore, as soon as I heard the news that there would be a game of our home team against the team from Mississippi, I booked a front-row seat, excited about having a fantastic weekend I was excited when I sat in the stadium.
When the game began, however, I discovered that I was sitting directly in front of a Super-lungs. He seemed like a nice guy. But his idea of having fun at a football game was obviously nothing like mine,or most well-behaved football fans'. He yelled (大喊) non-stop as loud as he could. He yelled at the coaches, the players, the officials and the Mississippi State fans. Always at the top of his lungs.
The Super-lungs made an surprising performance and kept it for us for the entire 90 minutes and never showed any sign of tiredness. He was caught up in his own world so he failed to notice he was ruining (破坏) hundreds of others' experience of watching the game.
I felt that my ear drums (耳鼓) almost got broken. His mouth was only two feet away from my ears. For a while I thought of shouting back and stopping him yelling. People around were turning to look at him, and I could read their thoughts: "Is he never going to stop?" And he seemed not to see those looks.
At halftime I escaped by walking for a few minutes outside the stadium. I was thinking of finding an empty seat in another part of the stadium. However, to my disappointment, the seats were all taken. I had no choice but to go back to the Super-lungs. When returning to my seat, I missed my steps and fell heavily on the stairs. As I was struggling (挣扎) to stand up, a pair of huge hands helped me from behind.
