My mother asked me when I was young, "What's the most important part of the body?"
When I was little, I thought1was very important to us. So I said," Is it our ears?" "No," she said, "Because there are still many people who can't hear things. Keep2and I'll ask you again later. "
Three years passed. I had thought about the correct answer3 I had my first try. This time I said, "Sight(视力) is important, so it must be our4" "You are learning5, but the answer is not right because there are many people who are blind. "
I kept this question in my mind. My mum asked me several times6 the only reply I got was, "You are getting7, my boy. "
Last year, my grandpa8, Everybody was quite sad. When it was our turn to say goodbye to Grandpa, my mum asked me, "Have you found out the most important part of your body?" I was9when she asked me this. I always thought this was a game between 10and me. "This question is very important. 11you answer it shows whether you have really understood life. Today is the day you need to12 this lesson. "She looked at me the way only a mother can. I Saw tears in her eyes. She said, "My dear, the most important part of the body is your13"I asked, "'Is it because it holds up your head?" "No, "she replied. "It is because it can14 the head of a friend or loved one when they cry. Everybody needs a shoulder to cry on sometimes. I only hope you have enough love and friends so you will have a shoulder to cry on when you15 it. "

How many hours do you spend sitting in a chair every day? Eight hours in the office and three hours in front of the TV after work is a normal condition for many office workers.
However, siting too much is not good for your health. What's the fact of that? A study showed the health of 123, 000 Americans between 1992 and 2006. The death rate (死亡率) for men who spent six hours or more a day sitting was about30% higher than that for men who sat for three hours or less. In other words, ▲ .
So what can we do about it? Health experts suggest we spend more hours standing instead of sitting. The BBC and the University of Chester in the UK did a simple experiment(实验) with a small group of 10 people who usually spent most of the day sitting. They were asked to stand for at least three hours a day, Asa result, there were some great differences, the BBC reported on Oct. 16th.
What's more, standing while talking on the phone, going over to talk to a friend rather than sending an email, or simply taking a walk after eating lunch or dinner, will help.
Always remember that don't sit for too long and I believe if you try to make some changes, your life will be totally different.
Attention, people of earth:
The big news is out. Your best scientists have found there is life here, on our beautiful planet Venus(金星). Congratulations! But we have something to say: Stay away, no exploration(探索).
We are serious. Stay away from us. If we wake up one morning and look out and sec you walking around in a spacesuit, we are going to be really ticked off.
We mean no hostility (敌意):We're actually a very nice planet. It's just that we're seared by what you've done on the Earth. Earth looks terrible, and it is completely ruined(破坏). You've got health problems, environment problems and so on. That's why so many of you want to leave Earth for another planet.
We've got good weather here, beautiful environment, little traffic and a little cost of living. On Venus, you can only buy a three-bedroom house for like S 13500. Crazy, right? But that doesn't mean you can come here. We can only deal with so much. If we start having you all up here, pretty soon, the Martians(火星人) and Jupiterians (木星人) are going to come too. Trust us: you don't want them sleeping on your sofa, drinking all your beer.
Cool your enthusiasm (热情). We're not your in your plan. Venus is not Earth 2. We wish you the best in saving your planet.
Sincerely,
Venus
One day a college student was taking a walk with his teacher. As they went along, they saw a pair of old shoes lying in the path. There was a farmer working in the nearby field. The student turned to his
teacher, saying, "Let us play the farmer a trick (捉弄): we will hide his shoes, and hide ourselves behind the trees, and wait to see what he will do. "
"My young friend, "answered the teacher." We should never make fun of the poor. Why not put a coin in each shoe, and then we will hide ourselves and watch?" The student did so and they both hid themselves behind the trees. The poor man soon finished his work, and came back. After putting on his coat, he put his foot into one of his shoes, and felt something hard. Then he bent down to feel what it was, and found a coin.
Surprised, he looked around, but no person was seen. He put it into his pocket, and then put on the other shoe. His surprise was doubled on finding another coin.
He couldn't control his feelings and fell to his knees, looked up to the sky and expressed his thanks. Then he spoke of his sick wife, his hungry children and the importance of the money to them.
The student stood there deeply moved, and his eyes were filled with tears.
'Now," said the teacher," Aren't you much better pleased than that if you hide the shoes?" The student replied, "You have taught me a lesson which I will never forget."

We've visited many places. example, in England we visited the Buckingham Palace. In Paris, we visited the famous Eiffel Tower. Many people said it was one of (great) buildings they have ever seen. In the village of Kila Raipur, India, people would like to take part in their unusual Olympics. Even though the villagers don't spend millions of dollars on the sport, these games seem to be much more fun than the real Olympics!
Now in its 77th year, the sport took place in the village Kila Raipur from January 31st to February 3rd. A villager named Inder Singh Grewal wanted to hold an event which would allow farmers to show their skills, and just have a good time.
Over the years, it has become popular and now includes not just the farmers, but also some of the world's finest sport players from 7 to 70 years old.
However, the ones that interest the most people are the special sports like the bull(公牛) races. In the races, bulls run at high speed against each other, with sport players balanced on small carts(手推车). Then there is the game that needs sport players to lift bicycles with their teeth or even use their teeth to pull a car. If that is not special enough for you to get excited about this, there is a competition that allows a tractor(拖拉机) to run over a player 's body!
All in all, the sport not only tests the skills of its sport players, but also cheers up people. The best part is that everyone, old or young can take part in the snort, So that's why over 4, 000 sport players and over a million watchers run into the small village of Kila Raipur each year!
