On the day of the interview, I got up at 6:00 in the morning. I got to the interview place without having1. I was the 24th interviewee(应聘者)and the 22nd was a short ordinary-looking girl. I greeted her by 2my head. I asked her where she graduated. She told me in a low 3, "I graduated from a junior college, and I'm the only one without getting a bachelor's degree(学士学位)among the 50 interviewees."
I didn't 4 the interview would last so long. As I didn't have breakfast, my stomach started to ache. I had to sit by the table for a 5. Just at that time, the girl asked me 6 happened. I told her, "I didn't have breakfast this morning, so my 7comes to me."
After a while, a worker came in and 8 me a bottle of milk and a piece of bread. It was certain that they were bought by the girl. I felt 9 all over my heart because I hadn't imagined she would be so nice to help me--her rival (竞争对手).
Luckily, I got the job. The first day I went to work, I was 10 to see the girl there. She also got the job. Later I asked her why she got the job. She said 11a smile, "That day when I bought you the 12, an interviewer went to the toilet with papers in hands. He asked me 13I could help him to copy those papers while he was in the toilet. I helped him. After I came back to him, he asked me why I took the food in hands. I told him the14. Then I got the job." At that moment, I came to know that when the girl helped me and the interviewer, she also helped 15.

There was a story many years ago of a school teacher-Mrs.Thompson. She told the children on the first day that she loved them all the same. But that was a lie. There in the front row was a little boy named Teddy Stoddard. He didn't get on well with the other children and he always needed a bath. She did not like him.
Then Mrs Thompson got to know that Teddy was actually a very good boy before the death of his mother. Mrs Thompson was ashamed of herself. She felt even worse when, like all her other students, Teddy brought her a Christmas present too. It was his mother's perfume(香水).
Teddy said, "Mrs Thompson, today you smell just like my Mom used to." After the children left, she cried for at least an hour. On that very day, she stopped teaching reading, writing and math. Instead, she began to teach children.
Mrs Thompson paid attention to Teddy. The boy's mind seemed to come alive. The more she encourage him, the faster he improved. By the end of the sixth grade, Teddy had become one of the smartest children in the class.
Six years went by before she got a note from Teddy. He wrote that he had finished high school, third in his class, and she was still the best teacher he ever had in his whole life. He went to college. Mrs Thompson got two more letters from him with the last one signed, Theodore F. Stoddard, M. D.(医学博士).
The story doesn't end there. On his wedding day, Dr.Stoddard whispered in Mrs Thompson's ear, "Thank you, Mrs Thompson, for believing in me. You made me feel important and showed me that I could make a difference."
Mrs Thompson, with tears in her eyes, whispered back, "Teddy, you have it all wrong. You were the one who taught me that I could make a difference. I didn't know how to teach until I met you."
Indoor and outdoor gardening has become more and more popular. It helps us build a stronger connection(连接)with nature and makes us feel more relaxed.
★ Is gardening good?
Gardening is reported to be good for the environment and wildlife. Gardens offer a home to wildlife. They also act as passages(通道)for nature, allowing wildlife to move from one place to the next. It's also great for your health. One study found that gardening for 30 minutes can be compared with playing badminton, volleyball or practicing yoga.
★____________________
Gardening can improve your mood in lots of ways. If you feel nervous or worried, looking after plants can help to keep your mind on something else. Watching a seed (种子)grow into a healthy plant can make you feel happy and satisfied. According to a study, people who garden 2-3 times a week have a 6.6% higher happiness score and 4.2% lower stress level compared to people who don't garden at all.
★ Can gardening bring people together?
Gardening is a great way to connect with nature and people. When you are new to a place, you can get to know your neighbors by sharing fruit or vegetables you grow with them. And it is an easy way to start conversations and show how friendly you are. You could also find friends with the same hobby in the gardening club. If there's no club, start your own gardening club and invite your friends to join you.
Why not get some fresh air and try to grow something right now ?
If you get regular headaches, you are not alone.
A new report says half of us suffer from them. Researchers from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology looked at 357 different studies on headaches from 1961 to 2020. The report was published(发表)in The Journal of Headache and Pain. The studies were mainly from rich countries. They included information on general headaches, migraines(偏头痛), and headaches from tension(紧张). The researchers said that 52 percent of people in the study suffered from some form of headache every year. The lead researcher, Lars Jacob Stovner, was surprised that the numbers were so big and that so many people got headaches.
The researchers found that women are more likely to get headaches than men. They said 17 percent of women get migraines, compared to 9 percent of men. Six percent of women get headaches on 15 or more days a month, while the number is three percent for men.
Mr Stovner said, "What is clear is that headaches are highly prevalent worldwide and can be a great pain. More people are getting headaches, and the data does suggest that the incidence(发生率) of headaches and migraines may be increasing." Stovner added, "More research is needed. It is important to study the different causes of headaches... to improve prevention and treatment more effectively."

Dear Lost Girl,
Many people have had such (经历) as you. Sometimes it's pretty hard to tell what's wrong in a friendship. Try writing to your friend or you can ask another friend for help.
