Mary is an American doctor. She is now in China. She1in the Children's Hospital in Hangzhou. She is 2 Chinese medicine (中医) there. She likes Chinese medicine a lot. ②A boy finds a penguin (企鹅) at his door. He doesn't know where it comes from, but it always follows him everywhere. The boy thinks it must be lost. So he goes to the lost and found office, but no one is looking for a penguin. That night, the boy can't sleep well. He wants to help the penguin, but he isn't sure how to help.
③The next morning he finds in a book that penguins usually come from South Pole. So he takes his small boat out to sea with the penguin. It takes them many days and many nights to the south. He tells stories to the penguin to help pass (消磨) the time. On the way, they are happy all the time.
④Finally, they come to the South Pole. When the boy says goodbye and leaves, he finds the penguin sad, staying there.
⑤It feels strange for the boy to be on his own. No one listens to his stories. Then he thinks hard and knows that the penguin isn't lost. It just feels lonely. He quickly turns the boat around and wants to get back to the South Pole as fast as he can.
⑥When he gets to the South Pole, he can't find the penguin. He has to return home again. Soon he sees something in water. It's the penguin. Then the boy and his friend go home together, talking about wonderful things all the way.
Online shopping is quite popular (受欢迎的) these days. It saves time because people don't have to go to the shops or drive through the busy streets. My mom is busy and she works from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm Monday to Thursday. She visits my grandparents on Friday. On the weekend she does lots of online shopping. But she is often unhappy when she gets the parcels(包裹). The color is too dark or too light. The size is too small or too big. The cloth is too soft or too hard. There's often something wrong. In the end she has to give back most parcels. She has to go to the post office to send them back. There are usually many people in the post office. It takes a long time to send a parcel. What's more, it takes a lot of money. In my eyes, online shopping doesn't save time or money.
I'm Lily. I live in a beautiful neighbourhood (街区) in Nuwakot, Nepal. It's not a big one, but it's clean. There are about twenty houses in my neighborhood. In the middle of the neighbourhood, there is a school. It's on Centre Street. All the children of the neighbourhood go to that school. Behind the school, there is a park. We often go there after school. We enjoy our evenings there. There is also a bank on Giggles Street, across from the park.
When we walk down the road in front of the school for five minutes, we get to a library on Centre Street. It's between the school and a post office. Across from the library, there is a supermarket. The most interesting about my neighbourhood is that there is a tree behind the library and in the evenings the tree becomes white. It is because lots of white birds come here to spend their night.
Some students are talking about their (计划) for the coming summer holiday. In July and August, they want to go to different places.
