Teachers help us become good students and people. So we should thank them for their hard work. In China we have Teachers' Day on September 10. On that day, we say thanks to our teachers and sometimes give them gifts. But bow do US students thank their teachers?

First of all, US schools have a whole week in May to appreciate their teachers! Teacher Appreciate Day is on the Tuesday of that week. They have parties with gifts and snacks that week. There are also signs (标语) everywhere to show their love for teachers.

US students like to give small gifts to their teachers, and the teachers love getting thank-you notes from their students. Teachers also like getting arts and crafts (工艺品) from students.

Should we say thanks to our teachers only on Teachers' Day? No, we should thank our teachers all the time. Always show your love to your teachers. It helps them do a good job.

Healthy eating doesn't just mean what you eat, but how you eat. Here is some advice on healthy eating.

Eat with others. It can help you to see others' healthy eating habits. If you usually eat with your parents, you will find that the food you eat is more delicious.

Listen to your body. Ask yourself if you are really hungry. Have a glass of water to see if you are thirsty-sometimes you are just thirsty, you need no food. Stop eating before you feel full.

Eat breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day. After you don't eat for the past ten hours, your body needs food to get you going. You will be smarter after eating breakfast.

Eat healthy snacks like fruits, yogurt or cheese. We all need snacks sometimes. In fact, it's a good idea to eat two healthy snacks between your three meals. This doesn't mean that you can eat a bag of chips instead of a meal.

Don't eat dinner late. With our busy life, we always put off eating dinner until the last minute. Try to eat dinner at least 3 hours before you go to bed. This will give your body a chance to digest (消化) most of the food before you rest for the next 8-10 hours.

In America, students go to school from Monday to Friday. They start classes at about 8:00 am. and finish classes at about 3:00 p. m. They have a lot of free time for out-of-class activities (活动) For American students, there are two main kinds of out-of-class activities.

The first kind is in school, such as school clubs, sports meetings and school shows. Students like school clubs best. There are many clubs for them to join. Music club, dance club and art club are girl's favorite, but boys like sports club best. Most students join one club. Some join two or more clubs.

The second kind is out of school. In America, many zoos, parks, libraries and museums are free for students. Students usually go to different places. They think they can learn a lot there. Some students like to go to a summer camp (夏令营). They think it is more interesting.

Out-of-class activities are popular in America. They are very important to students.

We love to be fashionable. So we buy clothes from time to time to make us look prettier or cooler. But a problem appears: how to deal with (处理) those old clothes? Don't just throw them out.

Some organization collect old clothes for those who meed in local areas or send them to foreign countries.

fashion is a thing that goes around in cycles. So an out-of-date coat may be the hottest thing on the market next year.

It's not too hard. But you have to thinks it over before you do. It's easy to find some tips online. If you are good at fashion designing, you could even sell your creation to make some money.

Some clothes like those made of denim (牛仔布) can be recycled (循环使用). Denim can be used again, for example, to build houses for people who are made homeless by natural disasters.

Attitude (态度) is important. It is13. This woman knows 14 to live a successful life. Life isn't about waiting for the storm to pass. It's about learning to15 in the rain.

My best friends are Ben and Daniel. Ben(live) near my house and we (usual) go to school together. We spend about twenty minutes(go) to school by bus. Ben is fifteen years old. Daniel doesn't study in my school Ben and I met him at  kung fu class. We want to make friends with him  he is very outgoing. Daniel is very good at doing kung fu. We all call him "Kung Fu Boy". Daniel also loves music very much. Look! He(practice) the guitar for music festival.

We three have different dreams. I hope I can be a doctor. Ben's dream is to be a scientist and Daniel's dream is to be a (music). I hope all  (we) dreams can come true.
